Chris smiled weakly and hugged her knees, memories of the dog flooding back."i hate other humans really...."she breathed."especially children like us....."she squeezed her knees, suddenly getting a little angry."they took my precious faolan away from me....."she glared at the ground."ya....i found faolan alone one day, he had been abandoned....i named him faolon, meaning:little wolf."she smiled slightly, remembering the adorable face smiling up at her."we hunted together, and played, he kept me company but then...a girl i thought was a little bit of a friend told the school bullies about the dog...."her smile disappeared."i had asked he not to tell too...."a tear ran down her cheek."i was known as the wild girl, a beast, in school...constantly being picked on...."she sighed and didn't look up, just stared mezmorized at the ground."after school one day, i was in the class room, packing up...."her voice shook now."when three boys walked in....carrying faolan in there grubby hands....i..i tried to get him back but...one of the older boys grabbed me by the arms and wouldn't let go.they called me in-human, a discusting animal...."shs ighed and dug her nails into her palms."faolan twitsted and bit him....he picked the pup and kicked him....i screamed and begged them to stop...but they didn't, they kept doing it....they had kicked the pup to behind a counter, i could only see there heads....i kicked and screamed, trying to get away but they just laughed at me....the boy took a vase, and started swinging it...i felt my heart being ripped from my chest as they hit faolan, over and over...i couldn't do anything about it.....i could see blood spill out onto the floor, forming a scarlet pool, and i couldn't hear faolan cry anymore....the boys laughed, snickering about how "it" wasn't moving anymore....i went off the wall...."she was angry now, trembling with hate."i screamed at them, ,so loud the pictures on the wall shook, i told them that it was they who were in-human, hurting such a helpless, kind hearted creature....and...i-i..."guilt sparked in her eyes."i killed them."she breathed, ashamed of the fact that she had killed another human being.she waited for james to scream and run....

James only looked at Chris with his large brown eyes, full of sadness, and symathy. "I understand." He murmured, opening his arms to give her another hug. She looked like she needed one.

Chris stared at him, eyes wide."y-your not mad? or afriad?"she asked, not at all resisting when he hugged her.

"No." James murmured, releasing Chris. "I-I......I've done something similar......." He muttered sorrowfully.

Chris's eyes were full of concern.she looked quietly at him."im still not afraid of you either."she said quietly, trying to smile.she wanted to know about his story too....but wasn't sure it was ok to ask.

James nodded, taking a deep breath. "A year ago, my mother locked me outside of the house, because she forgot about me....since I was the neglected child, the third one of the family......" He began. Somehow, he needed to tell his story, to get the truth out. "I only had a backpack, which was full of food, a small pocket knife, and a book. Those were my only possecions, and I kept the backpack outside, since I was used to being kept outside like a dog....." He took a deep breath, memories flowing back to him. "I kept my knife in my pocket. But, while I was sitting outside of the door, a drunk man had been attacted by my bag. He stumbled over, and snatched it from me, grinning crazily at me. I stood, but I didn't know what to do....when suddenly, he grabbed my book. That was my favorite thing....that book. He started ripping out the pages, laughing hysterically like it was the best thing in his life he'd ever done. All of my anger bubbled out, and I leapt forwards, my knife drawn. I almost killed him, with that little pocket knife, but I ran away, ran far, far away."

Chris smiled slightly at him."he had it comin...."she replied quietly, trying to comfort him.
