"Well im sure you will get better at identifying them eventually." He picked up his trash and dumped his scraps into the trash and put his tray in the stack of dirty trays. "Sure, lets get going." He followed Mary letting her lead the way back to the lab since this place was like a maze.

Mary had to admit, it was kind of confusing when trying to find her way back, but she managed. She took a few turns and they were suddenly near the lab doors. Nostalgia found it's way into Mary's heart, even though she hasn't been here long. She entered the doors and kept them open for Sully. "I hope you find Sarah quickly, I have to head off to finish my original project."

Sarah smiled as she heard Mary's voice. She said, "Oh good, you're back, and you brought Sullivan. Nice to meet you. I'm Sarah, the head researcher here. I've got your fossil Pokemon right here. It's an Omanyte." before handing Sully a Poke Ball. When Caelan walked back in with some papers, Sarah said, "Oh, you've got your research notes. Good, I think this will give us something very interesting to look into. Honestly, I always thought that the Phantom Ruby Project was just a war-time myth. I never thought it could be real, the whole idea sounds so incredible that it seems impossible."

"Oh yeah! Sarah, Caelan found this book in the trash. I'm busy with a project, so if you don't mind, could you read it?" Mary paused half-way into her work station when she remember the book tucked under her arm. She looked back at her superior uncertainly

Sarah smiled and said, "Yes, I'm sure I can read it sometime. I know you're focused on the Rare Candy experiments, but I need as much help as I can with Caelan's research notes. Let me ask you, have you ever heard of the Phantom Ruby Project?"

Caelan set his papers down and said, "Most people think it was just a war-time myth. Even Oak didn't know about the project, so it's not that surprising that the project was dismissed as a myth."

"Nope, never heard of it," Mary chirped, walking over to Sarah's desk and placing the book down. She read the title one more time before looking at them. "What's it about?" Curiosity got the best of her.

Caelan started to explain, "The Phantom Ruby Project was meant to feed the brain false information, and create a new virtual reality that's so realistic, you can't tell that it's all fake. It was originally meant to create a massive army of replica Pokemon that could fight until the end and not suffer any real casualties. Since the replicas aren't alive to begin with, if one of them fell in battle, ten more would take its place. Back then, I was just an intern for the head of the project, but I was still part of the project."

Marilyn's eyes sparkled. "The technology to get that kind of results... W-would have to be at least decades ahead. Could we achieve that now? And what about the expenses?" she questioned, wondering how all of this is possible. "And the materials, where would we get those?"

"The main materials were spores collected from Paras and Parasect. You're right about one thing, the project needed technology that was years ahead of its time. We had one prototype before the project was cancelled, but it would only react to the person who activated it, and activating the prototype took a lot of willpower. Giovanni's investing a lot in this project, so we've got the finances covered.

"So then how are we going to make this project? Would we need someone, or something?" Mary looked awfully confused. There has to be at least a few materials that they didn't have, seeing as this project is very complicated. Without even knowing, her foot started tapping.
