Kanoa "Noa" Kalua // Twenty-Four // Alola Champion // Tags:: Open
It should have come as no surprise to anyone who knew anything about Noa that he would never have accepted an offer to soar through the skies on a legendary pokemon such as Ho-oh. However, he meant no disrespect by it. It was just the kind of person he was and always had been, the kind of person he had been raised to be. Self-reliant, perhaps too much at times, and stubborn to a fault. If he decided he didn't need help doing something, Noa's pride as a champion and accomplished trainer would not allow him to accept any. So while others accepted the offer, with a few relying on their own pokémon, Citrine had temporarily returned to his ball as Aqua was released. While it was true that Noa could have taken Arsene for a flight, what with the Bat Pokémon's size, traveling by water would be much easier and less of a burden on his Starmie.
That was probably why he was one of the last to make it to the others, having needed time to put on his wetsuit in order to ensure his clothing did not get drenched by the sea. However, that didn't mean it took him so long that he missed out on witnessing the foolishness, the sheer stupidity, of a trainer as they ran after one of their pokémon entirely on their own. If it had been a region people were familiar with, there would be no issue. This was, however, not one such region. It was entirely uncharted, unexplored. There was no telling what await them out there. When another trainer moved to follow, Noa could not bring himself to let someone make the same mistake, even if it was for the sake of rectifying someone else's mistake. So he followed after her, releasing Citrine to walk by his side and Arsene to keep an eye out from the sky. Without a single word, Noa took his first steps into Acrea's wilderness.
