Great...just great... Christolph wanted to double face palm his head as David overheard his remark to Hunter and then blurted out with what he assumed was fear. He could just hear the townsfolk rushing to the streets with torches and pitchforks ready to slay the terrible vampire...it wouldn't be the first time, but it had been a veeerrrry long time since something like that had happened. Christolph had no idea was a 'video game' was, but he felt like the girls were only making his predicament worse with their excuse.
"Forgive me...mein English isn't alvays the best ven I am addled by the heat. Ve haff blut...blood in our bodies, vhich is predominantly vater...und I assumed this lad vos making a joke about mein body being hot enough to sveat blood. The Japanese are better at word play than I." He shrugged his shoulders as if to indicate that it was nothing more than a simple misunderstanding before taking a step into the post office to put closure to the conversation and not allow it to linger into further questioning.
The cold air rushed against his body almost immediately as he entered into the building; removing his sunglasses and hat as his flesh cooled...he would probably try to find an excuse to tarry in there longer than needed, but the line for the desk had dwindled and he was the next customer. "Can I help you sir?" The lady behind the counter (who had to be in her thirties) gawked at him like a school girl; blushing when he approached. "Ja, I have this to give you." Christolph opened up his briefcase and took out the piece of paper left at his apartment earlier. The lady gazed at him for a few seconds in a dreamy state before taking the paper and reading it. "OH! We just got your crate in this morning!"
"Mein....crate?" He was now starting to worry about the contents of such a large item...he had expected for a simple package or letter. The lady dashed into the backroom and came out a minute later pushing a dolly that propelled a crate the size of an oven around the desk. "Here you go! Hope you brought a truck!" She giggled and handed him a paper to sign. Christolph provided his autograph while being completely shocked by this 'package'. He could of course easily carry such an item on his shoulder...but then, that would only incriminate him more.
