Nova walked outside, still getting used to everything. Xavier's Institute? Other mutants? This was all new to her. She had discovered her power a few weeks back, and since then, everything was hectic. Packing, adjustments, meetings, arrangements.... all in a few weeks. Right now, she was just trying to relieve herself. Outside always calmed her. She shivered. Thin black tights, a loose violet shirt, and a scarf didn't keep you that warm. She made a mental note to dress with more warmth than element of style for the future. She watched a guy painting flowers in the shade. That was cool. Nova had never been able to paint. "That looks good." she said from behind him, still watching the paint bloom and form new things. One thing melted into another, it was beautiful.

Ace stiffened when he heard someone behind him. The paint began to bubble as he turned around to face who had spoken to him. He opened his mouth to utter a thank you but the words would not come out of his mouth. The boy looked down at the ground with an embarrassed look. He wanted to speak but his social anxiety kept him from doing so. Only one of the bottles exploded as his anxiety levels rose

Mikala made it to where he was supposed to be meeting his team. This happened to be the living room. He sat himself down on the couch then pulled out his phone. The young man began to mess around with it just to pass the time. Much of his gear was back in his dorm room. Mikala was surprised that he hadn’t broken the device yet

She stepped back as one of the paint bottles exploded and watched the elegant color splatter the ground. "Are you Splatter?" she guessed and stepped to the side. "If you don't want to speak, fine by me." Nova shrugged and looked at the paint splattering her hands. The boy was embarrassed - she could tell. "If it makes you feel any better, my first hour here, I managed to walk in on someone using the bathroom."

Ace nodded upon hearing someone using the codename he had been given. That was indeed him. Upon hearing the girls story of walking in on someone, he smiled. That was definitely a lot worse than being startled by someone. He began to try and clean up his paint mess

"Let me help." Nova picked up a couple of his bottles and dropped them in a nearby basket, hoping it was the right place to put them. "I'm Nova. Nova Wilson." she smiled at him.

The teen soon finished picking up his supplies. He opened his mouth to speak to the girl but found that he could not. This was due to his anxiety. He just closed it and focused on his supplies. Some were bubbling but not enough to explode. If he could, he would thank her for the help. The basket was indeed the right place to put the paints
