Kekoa nodded and looked at Suki again, grinning lopsidedly. His blue eyes dancing "I am very lucky you came along." He said. Then closed his eyes and leaned back again. Listening to the storm.

[Mystic Starsong]

Suki blushed as he said that, and was glad when he turned away. She scooted away from him a little bit, tucking her knees up to her chest and wrapping her arms around them. Why was she acting like this? Why did she keep blushing at everything Kekoa said? She rested her head on her knees and stared into the fire, shivering for one of the few times in her life. So distracted by evething going on, she had stopped using her power to heat herself and the cold was leaking in through her light clothes dispite the merry fire burning not 10 feet away.

[Dragoness]

Kekoa heard Suki scoot away and looked at her again. Taking in her slightly flush cheeks and strong form. He saw her shiver a bit and reached onto the bed behind then where some folded blankets lay and pulled a big one down so it draped over both of them. He leaned over and wrapped the blanket about Suki before puling some of it over him self. "Seems even fireborne get cold huh?" He said. "Don't tire your self or anything, a blanket will keep you plenty warm." He was smiling, just a little.

[Mystic Starsong]

"It was just a momentary lapse in concentration." Suki said sofly, almost inaudible since she was looking away from him, but she realized he was right. She would need to conserve her powers. "Okay." She said a little louder as the blanket draped around her shoulders. She didn't move to pull it up, but didn't move away either. She was so confused. Everything was muddled in her head, as if she was trying to see through fog, or snowfall. She sighed and moved closer to Kekoa again, tugging the blanket so it wrapped all the way around her while making sure Kekoa also had enough.

[Dragoness]

Kekoa leaned back again. Scooting close enough to Suki so that the blanket could be shared easily. He then leaned back and hummed quietly. Even with out her power in action Suki was warm. A good friend and companion. He thought. For once really happy to be in the outer colony.

[Mystic Starsong]

Suki yawned quietly, covering her mouth with her hand. She leaned up against Kekoa, liking the warmth of his arm against her's. The fire was almost hypnotizing, and it was getting late. She didn't want to go to sleep though. Someone had to watch the fire, and she wanted to know more about Kekoa's old life in Edylmadium. She tried to form a question in her mind, but it kept getting jumbled up, so she contented herself with staying silent.

[Dragoness]

"Your heart is beating quickly." Kekoa said. His voice rumbling through his body an vibrating in his chest. "Is that a fireborne thing or is my idea of heart rate just skewed?" He asked curiously. He figured he might as well get to know Suki better, given that they were going to be stuck together for a while it seemed.

[Mystic Starsong]

"I don't really know." Suki said honestly, her voice a little quiet, "I don't thank anyone has ever noticed that before." She went silent, listening and feeling her heart beat. It seemed normal to her, so maybe it was that fireborne has faster heart-rates, or earthborne had slower ones.

[Dragoness]

Kekoa shrugged one shouldered so as not to jostle Suki. "Just wondered." He said. It must have been getting late by now. He noticed absently that the fire would soon need more wood. But he was comfy and didn't want to move.

[Mystic Starsong]

Suki leaned her head against Kekoa's shoulder, still staring at the fire. She slowed down the flames a little so they wouldn't eat up the wood as fast. She didn't want to move, and she didn't want Kekoa to move away either. "It was a good question." She murmured softly.
