Jessie brushed past Mila just as the gun went off pain shot through her shoulder as the bullet pirced it and yet she thrust the daggers at Erik's neck and stood poised to kill him. "Leave now or you die" Jessie gasped fury still in her voice but also pain.

Mila gasped as agony exploded through her right shoulder. The world around her went blurry and she stumbled backwards staring at Erik in shock. It hurts... Why?... Did he, shoot me?.... She felt something warm spreading down her arm. She felt weak, and the pain wouldn't go away. Everything began spinning and she stumbled backward again, this time unable to keep her balance. She fell down with a gasp and pain and the edges of her vision grew dark. It hurts...
