A frown sat anchoring the corner's of the kneeling figure's mouth in a scowl, a brush tipped in black ink sticking out from her lips. She carefully knawed at the tip enough to leave small indentations on the wood. The figure in question was none other then a young teenage girl clad in a black kimono embroidered with gray clouds and similar colored large sash about her waist. Upon closer inspection the girl herself was not older then seventeen at the most. Canine ears were slanted forward pressed into a head of equally pale locks in display of aggitation. The traditional garment-clad girl was surrounded by several trees covered in sealed pink flower buds, as she sat kneeling on a blanket on the shrine lawn. Each tree bore a slip of white paper with the word 'bloom' written on them using black inked characters. Though these slips of paper didn't last much longer as they each erupted into tiny patches of blue-white flame. The girl's flame engulfed hand curled into a fist of frustration as she set another of the paper slips ablaze.

" How Annoying." Miyata glanced through a bowl of water, making sure the crying child had gotten his toy back that was swept away by the water. Bubbles that he laid out across the beach allowed him to see what was going on. He could also hear the prayer of many people, which was annoying. " Humans..they are so..ugh, weak and still I help them." The water god yawned and scratched his side." Then...they come to my shrine laying gifts by the entrance from time to time..but why? Anyway, I'm extremely bored, maybe I'll take a nap. Just as Miyata was about to close his eyes, His two shrine spirits appeared.

" Wait..wherent you suppose to vist Mikage shrine ?You said you would do it." Yuu said." Also, it will cure your boredom. " Yunn nodded her head." He's right,
Maybe you'll befriend the God of the shrine as well and the he'll make you find. .." Yunn paused. Miyata only glared at the spirit, sitting up straight before fully getting up.

" Fine. .I'll go. I know you two won't leave me alone.
Have dinner ready for me." The water god blew a large bubble using his bubble pipe, stepping inside. Afterwards, the bubble drifted off towards Mikage shrine

The teen stared irritably at the trees around her as the slips of paper crumbled to ash under her flame's heat. The trees themselves bearing small scuff-like burns where the papers were, but otherwise unharmed. The sealed buds remaind despite the papers abstances. The white haired girl had been sitting among the foliage for a little over an hour now in an attempt to make the bear limbs give blooms. But each attempt was just that....an attempt. She had never been what one would call proficient in the use of talismens, but the teen figured making a tree bloom would be within her realm of possible. It sure sounded simple enough and she'd seen her mother do it numerous times. Therefore the teen should have been able to do it too.

This was, to the kimono-clad girl's frustrations, not the case. She was about to torch the remaining talisman when....

"Lady Shirasune!?"

Her hand paused at the sound of an all too familiar voice calling to her as it approached. Blast! They found her! Shirasune was sure she'd given the little beings the slip! It was hard enough giving the snake one, but he seemed oddly fixated on some more pressing matter for a change today. The white haired teen thanked the God of Wealth for that small fortune. "Here Kotetsu!", Shirasune called in return.

The childish masked Shrine Spirit soon found the teen and hurried over to her acting frantic for some reason. "Lady Shirasune! There you are! I'm sorry to interrupt your training with the white talismens but you're needed back at the shrine immedietly! You must get dressed quickly, we are expecting a very important guest!", said Kotetsu saving his arms in

The teen raised an eyebrow. A guest was causing the childish caretaker this much anxiety? "Don't worry I'll keep things under control here and then remain in my room until they are gone.", Shirasune sighed. The words sounded harsh but Shirasune, in all honesty, was about a fan of meeting other Yokai as they were meeting her. Keeping to herself during one of their visits was something the teen was more then pleased to do.

"No no no! You misunderstand Lady Shirasune! This time you must attend and receive our guest with your parents!", Kotetsu insisted, "I've got everything prepared for you in your room already but we must hurry! There is no telling when he will arrive!"

"You know as well as I that I'd just sc-"

"-This guest is not a Yokai young misstress!", the Shrine Spirit cut across Shirasune, "A God is coming to visit the shrine...the God of Water!"

Miyata yawned, looking down at the city below. Thankfully the bubble kept him from being seen." So loud..why do they have to make so much noise." The last god sighed and rubbed the back of his head." They never was this loud back in the past...they have changed. Anyway, I hope yuu and yunn Will beable to hold the shrine while I'm gone. " Miyata could see the shrine in the distance. "Hopefully this won't take long. If something happens at the beach, I'm sure my friends will help out those silly humans." The bubble he rested in floated down, popping once he made it to the shrine. " Humm..not a bad place the land god haves.I wondered what he's like." Miyata slowly walked towards the entrance. " I, The water god Miyata would like permission to enter please. "

In response to the visiting God's call the doors opened to allow entry. From inside several pairs of light footsteps could be heard as a pair of figures approached to stop before Miyata. The first was figure was a peculiar man dressed in a deep purple kimono bearing a paler purple flame-like design along the hottom hem, and end of the sleeves. He had a mop of white hair with a pair of equally furred canine-like ears sticking up from the top of his head. Behind him was a long fluffy white tail and, with a closer look, the man's nails were sharper then normal. He gave the Water God a toothy smile.

The second figure beside the male was decidedly that of the more fair verity. She was a women who was a bit shorter then her male companion, with long brown hair done up in a messy bun. The bun being held in place by an ornate hair stick. Her smile was much warmer then her companion' s and she too was glad in a deep purple kimono. The only difference was the women's was much deeper, almost black in color, with a multitude of colorful butterflies around the hem and sleeves. A shawl-like piece was draped over her shoulders. "Welcome to our humble home Lord Miyata and yes, please come in. I'm Nanami Momozono, the Land God and this is Tomoe.", the women said indicating the animalistic man beside her during the later part of the introduction, "I hope you don't mind but we've prepared tea for your visit. Would you care to join us?"

It didn't take all that long for Miyata to be led to a small room down the main hall by his hosts. Inside was indeed a round table prepared with a steaming tea pot, plates stacked with what appeared to be buns or a kind of dumpling and cups. For seats five pillow rested around the set table with seemingly one of them already occupied by another white haired man in a and good kimono with a swirl looking pattern over it. The man stood upon the trio's appearance, "Ah good we were just in time then and Tomoe hasn't frightened away our honored guest. The tea is ready Lady Nanami."

Tomoe was beside the man in a flash before giving him a repremindable tap on the head with a folded fan from his sleeve. Then turning to the visiting God, "You must forgive dear Mizuki Lord Miyata. He is young and not yet accustomed to his duties as My Lady's Familier, it appears he has much still to learn even after all these years. If you and My Lady would please come take your seats?"

Miyata risen his eyebrow and was slightly confused. She was the land god? Was this really Mikage's shrine or was this some kind of joke? The water god had no idea, but he decided to go along with it. Her seriously needed to get out more"Thank you very much for your hospitality lady Nanami, I would love to join you. Also, it's a pleasure to meet you both." Something was off ...was she..a Human? A human god? Now he really thought something was wrong." It's alright, no worries. "The God took a seat on the pillow and couldn't help his self, so he asked." The shrine..I thought a god name Mikage was in charge of it? And also, lady Nanami it's amazing how you manged to get two familiars. " he needed one for his self, but couldn't find one sadliy.

Nanami say across from their guest shortly followed by Tomoe taking a seat beside her. Mizuki too settled back down onto his own cushion. As tea was poured among the cups for each present member the women chuckled. "I believe that's largely my fault. See Lord Mikage entrusted the shrine to me a few years back and, to avoid confusion since this has always been Mikage Shrine, the name remaind unchanged.", Nanami explained, "As for having two Familiers.......Mizuki came to us later on in one of our times of need. Until then it was Tomoe who kept everything functioning and running smoothly on his own. I don't know what I'd do without either of them now. I'm sure youd feel just as lost as I would." Nanami couldnt help but take notice that Miyata had apparently shown up at the shrine alone which was odd. The only God the women knew to not have a Familier was Narukami, the abusive God of Lightning who was more then well known for treating her lion-dog spirits deplorably. It was no small wonder why she couldnt find a Familiar or raise a Shikigami to act as one. Familiers went everywhere with the Gods they served. The female Land God and the two males were no exceptions. Was Miyata another Narukami perhaps? He didnt seem like he was. The table was even set to accommodate whomever the Water God was to bring a long with him to the meeting. After taking a sip of her tea, "So to what do we owe the pleassure of hosting a God? It's been awhile since we've seen anybody outside of the Divine Assembly."

" I see. So your the new land god now, this information wasn't given to me. I guess it's my fault for not coming out my shrine much." Miyata has been a shut in god, ever since his lover was killed those many years ago. He didn't want to be bothered with anyone and decided to keep his distance. The water god hardly attended the divine assembly and it was basically his fault for not having an familiar. ..hopefully this visit would inspire him to make a contract with an yokai. "You seem to very lucky, I can't even managed to get one. It's alright I suppose,my shrine spirits keep my company." Miyata smiled and took a sip of the tea."Well, I just want to get to know the gods more. I've met the others, so now I'm here to get know you better. So, Lady Nanami tell me more about your self and I shall do the same. How was life before you where appointed the land god?"

short stature fool you. She's strong and

brother, Marina fled home to "make a legend
for herself." Neither her or her family handled it
well at firstbut Marina absolutely refuses to go
back, and would rather not speak about it.

with a lanky stature. His skin is much more
on the tanned side than Marina's considering
he spent a lot of his time on fishing boats out at sea. His
hair is short and white, and when it grows out
Marina will often cut it for him. He has the
ability to transform himself into a his true Amikiri form,
but only does this if it makes travel easier for both
him and Marina.

others, and he's a simple man who doesn't need

Just then there was a pounding of footsteps across the hardwood floor as another figure skidded to a halt in the door frame. The figure appeared to look a lot like Tomoe with the same white hair and canine foxish features. However this one was younger and about as much of a female as the Land God was. She had exchanged her earlier kimono for a much more formal one the Shrine Spirits placed out for her of blue embroidered with painstakinly small white and pale purple flowers all over it. She was about to say something when the girl noticed the fourth unfamiliar face in the room causing realization to dawn. Dipping her head in a bow, "I'm sorry for my tardiness. I had no idea we were expecting an important guest and was hiding among the trees. Kotetsu had a hard time finding me because of it."

'Much quieter...', thought Nanami with a sigh at the girl's appearance.

There was a temporary moment of silence before Tomoe broke it. "What matters is you are here to greet Lord Miyata now. Come in and have a seat beside Mizuki.", the male white fox calmly instructed the new arrival over his drink. Though Tomoe knew the girl understood this meant a firm talking to later on after their guest had left. Seriously! That bargaining in like that! The girl shared too many little quirks with her mother and what she just did was one of them. Oh what it made the Fox Familier recall. Not all of which were exactly pleasent.

Shirasune nodded and didn't bother wasting anymore time. Instead she silently hurried to plop down on the pillow beside Mizuki and keep her head low. Though the teen could practically feel the male fox's gaze burn through her kimono around the two that kept them apart. She was going to be in some seriously trouble for being late to greet their special guest. Shirasune just knew taking the steaming tea cup pushed her way.
