The color in Thereus's face drowned from a deep tan to almost white. His energy surged through his hands and into the wound, healing it slowly. Thereus's breath came in sharp gasps but kept his grip.

Kikina opens her eyes about a minute later, to find she must've passed out. "Embarassing..." she thought. Then she sees Thereus looking plae as a ghost. She gets up and turns to him, "Can I help?" she asks.

[Somewhere Cold]

Regaining some movement, Luce flicked out another blade and drove it into Thereus's side. "Get off me!" she screeched.

Thereus gasped. "I was helping you!"
His eyes changed. Instead of a dull blue, they were turning red. A cut from behind his head started to swell. It was a late reaction to a hit from the Keenra. It clawed him with its claw. A Keenra claw can spread its madness along. Thereus tried to stay in control. He pulled out the blade with a growl.

[Somewhere Cold]

Lucinda felt her pain begin to dull. She stopped struggling and rolled over on her uninjured side. Even the small movement exhausted her. "I need to get back to my house," she gasped, but I can't walk. Can you take me there?"

"We've," Thereus grunted, "Got bigger problems." He reached back to his head and felt the blood. He looked at it. Black blood. He growled. "I might be a little....possessed."

[Somewhere Cold]

Lucinda pulled herself into a sitting position and grabbed Thereus's shoulder to steady herself. His skin burned hers. "I can help you, but we need to get back to my cabin." she said.

"I can last about ten minutes. I have trained myself to take in the black blood of a Keenra claw, but this one was powerful. So, where....to?" Thereus grunted.

[Somewhere Cold]

Lucinda nodded. "North, about a mile. It's hidden behind a large rock that looks like a foot."

Thereus nodded. He tied his rag around his head to keep the black blood back. "By horse or foot? The stables are by the Guard House."
