She ran right across the street where a couple cars slammed on their breaks as to not hit the girl, but C.C. didn't really seem to pay much mind to it as she ran up to the tree. There was the group of people she had all seen before, but she didn't say a word as she just watched them all with dazed drooping eyes, she was too tired and weak to murmur more words without meaning.

Cecilia seemed to be back to her normal self. Meaning, she was abandoning all caution, apparently forgetting someone was trying to follow her, and ran out into the street. There weren't that many cars to begin with, but chaos did not need a large number to ensue.
Josiah followed as closely as he could, waving, smiling, and nervously laughing a stream of apologies, flushing in embarrassment. There were so many people shouting at them, looking, and noticing them. Cecilia might very well be used to it, if she even noticed it at all, but this was just too much. There was too much attention. He didn't like this many eyes on him at one time, being so used to remaining at the back of people's minds. He didn't mind if people began paying a little more attention to him, but Josiah didn't want this much. He was really putting himself out there, being with her.
Cecilia was heading toward a group of three, and it wasn't until they got closer that one of them noticed. As the person looked towards them, something...flashed in his mind, signals sending his nerves into a temporary frenzy. A rush of...exhiliration, perhaps? Somehow, it felt right joining up with these strangers. It thrilled him...
'Joining, huh? What an odd way of putting it.' Josiah stepped up onto the sidewalk and stopped, staring while Cecilia continued on ahead with that single goal of hers in mind. He couldn't move. He felt...well, for once, he didn't know what he was feeling.

I've been dumped a boatload of work to do before college, so I will post when I can. Life is my nemesis.
