Her boots tapping on the pavement, Clara followed Celestia. She ignored that the laces on one of her boots had begun to flap around. It was causing no trouble so she let it be. Together she and Celestia weaved through a crowd of people. It sure was busy today. But then again, everyone and their dog probably wanted muffins for breakfast too. Eventually, they left the crowd stopped in front of a new cafe which Celestia confirmed to be the one they were after. Clara nodded and took a seat at a set of chairs and table that seemed to have been left out over night. She wasn't working up a sweat like Celestia, but she was just too lazy to be standing when there was a perfectly good seat right in front of her.
Twenty minutes early wasn't too bad, except for the fact that Clara could smell the muffins behind the closed doors. She took a whiff and sighed contently. They sure smelled good. "So what kind of muffins have they got her and which one is the best?" Clara asked. She leaned forward in her seat, resting her elbows on her knees and her head in her hands as she stared up at her friend. Only then did she register that Celestia had stopped speaking and was looking up at a distant figure at the end of the street.
Celestia pointed it out, uncertainty lacing her words. Clara was glad she wasn't the only one trying to work it out as she squinted trying to make out the detail. "Is there a festival I don't know about or something?" She murmured, letting the question hang in the air. The figure slowly drew closer. It was a man and his horse, but nothing about it looked ordinary. The horse grew nervous before disappearing, leaving the man on standing on his feet as if it were never there in the first place.
Alarm buzzed through Clara. She cursed to herself, her brow furrowing as she stood up. This was exactly the sort of weirdness she'd tried to get away from by staying in Asora, out of the way of The House and all the problems surrounding it. This person gave off a bad vibe just appearing so casually like that, seeming not to cover anything up. She hoped that it wasn't a minion of Set returning or some other godly business. There was enough of that at the moment.
Her body tensed as she shifted her bag for easy access to her magician materials. Her left hand poised behind her, fingers fluttering ready to pull her staff out of the Duat if needed. Even if its presence would cause a mess for herself, that wasn't important if people were endanger. The man drew closer to where they were. Was he targetting them? Did he know Clara from somewhere previous. Oh she knew she should've been more careful in her past activities. Didn't Carter's Uncle warn that this might happen?
Soon he was close enough to make out his features. He looked like a warrior of some sort. But nothing rang any bells in Clara's head as she tried to work out if she knew of him. It was a blank canvas. Perhaps, he was Greek and not Egyptian? Clara was sure She heard the twins mention how there were other godly realms coexisting in this world. But she'd read and studied enough history and mythology and background that she should've been able to recognise almost any characteristics and place it to a person.
Well then, she'd just have to find out then. Clara shifted her stance and drew herself up to full height she didn't didn't feel so tense. She rolled her shoulders and with head held high, made eye contact with the man. "Sup." She started, waving her hand in greeting. "You are?" She asked, her posture more relaxed. It was important to send out relaxed vibes when dealing with unknowns and people watching on. Clara reminded that timeless advice she'd gotten from her days before The House as she popped a piece of gum in her mouth before offering one to Celestia.
Ally-May O'LawlorForm|Female 7, almost 8| Miraculous Ladybug|Tags:
SpringtrapAlly-May crouched at the base of the tree and giggled as the 'zoo keepers' circled them. Her imaginary tail curled around a twig as she began to strip it of it's bark. There was a rustle in the trees above. Probably the lorikeets feeding on the seeds again. Ally crouched, ready to spring into action when it became 'night-time'.
Then, there was a loud commotion as something large crashed behind them. She and the others squealed in fright as they jumped forward from the tree. The day care grew quiet as kids and carers alike stopped to see what had caused the fuss.
A giant yellow animatronic was before them. Ally stared wide eyed at the horrifying thing before her. It took a few moments before the carers sprang into action, starting to usher everyone into the building. Even though everyone was scared, many were still struck with curiosity. There were so many questions swirling around about the yellow bunny before them. While the rest of the care group was in a frenzy finding the youngest 1,2 and 3 year olds, Ally-May stood stock still, starting at the contraption. And then, it spoke.
Hi. Ally-May's jaw fell open. "Akuma!" She shouted, making mention to what she knew occurred regularly back in Paris as that was the only explanation her frazzled mind would give as she suddenly ran back to the safety of the care with the other kids. Noses pressed against the glass as fearful eyes watched to see what would happen next.
((ahaha, hope my longer post doesn't scare anyone))
