Vincent Maverick Drake | Male | Slytherin | 6th Year | Great Hall | Tags: Emilia Pond
Slightly surprised, Vincent looked over at her upon her first comment. "Well, I see that you love people," he noted, in a joking tone, although not a mocking one. He let his eyes wander to the other tables, observing the different people in the room. Nonetheless, he listened carefully and nodded to himself as Emilia spoke.
When she jumped in her seat he turned his head rapidly, assuming that something had gone wrong. However, when he looked, nothing seemed off, but after a few moments of thinking, he put two and two together. It had likely been the sound he heard just a second before; surely, Emilia would be more sensitive to things that others were not- she had to rely on her other senses more heavily. The student didn't plan to make a remark regarding her surprise, as he saw her face turn pink and presumed that it would only bring further embarrassment, but to his shock, she admitted it herself. "Hey," he said, trying to equal her tone in quietness, "I'm sure it can't be too long now. Just wait," his voice brightened as he spoke, "soon there will be food." He lifted his hands from the table in a rainbow-type-movement in front of his face before realizing that the gesture was relatively pointless.
