"Well, maybe she doesn't want to get married to some family friend just so she can have a hundred kids for family connections."

Oisin shot Snowfoot an angry look. “Really? And what do you suggest should happen? “

"That she does what she wants with her life. Not what you tell her to do."

“I suppose you think it’s unfair, right? I can name many other unfair things, like having to pay you rent.” Oisin muttered.

"Oh, shut up!" Snowfoot snapped. "It's the way things work, buddy. Be thankful I haven't burnt down your land by now. And anyway.. I would have gotten rid of the rent on your house by now if keeping it didn't give me an excuse to come down and see your daughter. And when I do let you off, I get hundreds of complaints from people like Padraig, telling me how unfair life is. I need to make a living too, and this is how I bloody well do it!"

Oisin let out a long sigh, “I know this is now things work, same way as Niamh will probably get married soon, just the way things work.” He murmured , glancing up at the grey sky.

Snowfoot rolled his eyes at the man, continueing to walk down through the fields. "I was wondering... I wanted to take Niamh out tonight, maybe to a nice resturant(sp?). I kinda wanted to have your consent before going ahead with it."
