Broken Hearts (Creature/Romance RP)

Marcus' eyes widened and he staggered back slightly, startled by Corrine's appearance. He bit into a corner of his lower lip, his eyebrows furrowing slightly.

[Shinnybear]

"That reaction is very normal," Sheena giggled. "Don't run off again, okay?" Corrine seemed unaware of Marcus as Sheena spoke softly to him. Finally, she looked over at Marcus, still petting Corrine. "He's my companion." She smiled.

[Jump.Jump.Fall.]

Marcus drew in a deep breath and then placed a hand on the tree beside him. "What is he?..." he asked in a soft voice, hoping that he wasn't offending Sheena by his question.

[Shinnybear]

Sheena looked up for a second, trying to think of what she could call him. "Ummmm....you could call him a spirit, I guess. He isn't like most spirits, though." She picked Corrine up in her arms and stood. Basically, he was the only one that had a past with Sheena, besides the others of Mizuho.

[Jump.Jump.Fall.]

Marcus took a cautious step forward, slowly walking up to Sheena. He looked Corrine over a few times and then hesitantly held out his hand to him, watching him intently. Marcus slowly stroked one hand down Corrine's back, grinning slightly.

"I have a long history with this little guy." Sheena smiled as she looked down at Corrine. She began thinking about past memories, leaving out the horrible ones. She suddenly remembered what she first called Corrine..."a cute bundle of fur."

[Jump.Jump.Fall.]

Marcus smiled softly and looked down at Corrine, gently stroking his back. He continued to pet Corrine, his attention focused on the dog. Marcus' hand brushed up against Sheena's and his eyes widened, quickly drawing his hand back.

Sheena blushed but quickly stared down at Corrine to hide it. Corrine looked up and pawed Sheena's bangs. "Hey, don't do that." She muttered softly to the dog and lifted her face.

Marcus saw a small glimpse of Sheena's blush and rubbed the back of his neck vigorously, turning his gaze and glaring down at his feet. "Uh..." he stammered, wondering if he should apologize or let the matter drop.

Azazel chuckled, "And why is it a habit?" He'd stopped walking and was just watching her with a grin.
