Eve's pale, slender hand carressed the frigid bars of one of the many bird cages within her private hatchery, her deep scarlet eyes studying the young Magpie Robin that stayed within the cage. The bird looked back up at her, returning her gaze and then began to sing it's unique song, blending in with the noisy chorus of bird calls all throughout the hatchery. The corner of Eve's lip twitched, but that was the closest she came to a smile; which was an offering of thank you to the bird for it's song. Eve then pulled away and looked around.
The room was messy, but spacious. The hard wood floor was littered with scraps of newspaper, feathers, pieces of egg shell, bird seed, and even the occasional bird dropping. The walls were like that of a greenhouse, but the windows were murky with dirt and difficult to look out of. Books, papers, feathers, and empty cages cluttered the corners of the room. The walls lined with mahogany bookshelves. The shelves a cluttered mess as well; specimens and notes, books and manuals. All having something to do with her beloved birds that ranged from the most common to the rarest, the ugliest to the most beautiful. The door was nothing special and closely resembled a shack door from inside of the hatchery. "So much for cleaning today" she said sarcastically to no one in particular. She sighed again as the only response to her comment was the continued chorus of the birds. She would never admit it if asked, but it got rather lonely living all by her lonesome. Of course, she had James and the other servents, but they could never fill the empty hole in her chest where the love from friends should be.
Eve sighed again and then turned around to leave the hatchery, but was stopped by James just outside the hatchery door. "Your tea is ready Miss. It is waiting in the Tea Room for you." James informed her. Eve rolled her scarlet eyes and then thanked him for his trouble. Then, she turned down the hall that they were now standing in to head towards the Tea Room, but she stopped for a moment, her black and white dress flowing with her slender body.
"Oh. And James?" she said. "Yes ma'lady?" James asked.
"I need to talk to you about an important issue later on this afternoon... it involves another... development..." Eve said, her scarlet eyes growing steely as if attempting to relay the importance of the subject at hand.
James nodded in grave understanding for he knew what it was that was of importance.
Eve then turned to go, but not before looking back over her shoulder and calling back out to him "Oh and James! One more thing. When you have the chance, please call some of the cleaning maids to the Hatchery. It could use a good scrub down."
"Yes Miss." James replied with a nod.

OOC: I'm sorry for doing this, but I thought a reference may help. Here is what a Magpie Robin looks like for those of you that don't know: Image

Eli awoke to the muffled sound of mugs clinking and silverware hitting ceramic. It took him a moment to realize where exactly he was at. He had been given an upstairs room to stay in over night at one of his favorite taverns. The owner was a good friend of his and allowed him to use the room every now and again. It wasn't much. Just a bed and a dresser with a cracked mirror, but that's the way he liked it. Sweet and simple.
Eli sat up and groggely rubbed his eyes, but stopped short after realizing how badly they burned and it wasn't long until he could feel the pounding migrain begin to form inside of his head. He groaned, annoyed with his hangover, and then stood. He figured there would be no use just sitting there wishing for it to go away when he knew that it wouldn't. He made his way down the old wooden stairs that led down into the tavern and sat down on one of the old, cracked, wooden bar stools placed at the bar. He looked around a moment. Judging by the amount of people that were around, he assumed that it must have been at least noon. It wasn't long after that he had sat down that he heard a chuckle from behind the bar's counter top. It was his friend, Louis. Louis was the son of the guy who owned the Tavern.
Eli groaned in response to Louis's chuckle and then said "Crazy night last night. Eh?" Louis chuckled again and then replied with a simple "Yes. Yes it was." followed with handing Eli a mug of freshly brewed coffee before going back to cleaning out the mugs with a rag. Eli took a sip of the Coffee and smiled. Louis knew exactly how he liked it. Fresh, hot, and black. He took another sip and then placed the mug back down onto the bar countertop before layin his head down onto his arms so that he could replay the events of the previous night back through his head.

Zoe sat cross legged in the middle of the park beside a large statue. Her acoustic guitar sitting in her lap, her talented hands strumming out cords as she played song after song for no one in particular. Her only audience were a small group of pigeons, but she didn't mind. She was doing something she loved and that was all that mattered. She left her guitar's case open so that any passer-by that could spare the change may donate a few coins. She hated the thought of it being charity and when she first began playing on the streets would refuse the money, but then she realized that they were acknowledging her talent. Not belitteling her. So on she played.
OOC: Sorry there isn't much for Zoe, but that's all I can think of right now. Oh and I've added a picture of both of Zoe's guitars to her bio under "other" if you want to check it out.

Zoe sighd, once she had walked out of her room, she glanced at her parents before walking out, her black wings fluttering slowley, she aighed abit worried, but other then that she was fine. She looked at the black, white an red roses out front near the fence, as sheslowley walked towards them, ignoring the other plants, cause she just wanetd her darling roses to be fine, so she got her watering can out, as she slowley filled it up with water. She wondered over to her roses smiling, as she slowley watered them, she hummed to herself.

Halfling

Name: Sonja Wende
Gender: Female
Age: 24 - appears 14
Dragon Parent: Erős Karom [Fierce Claw]
Human Parent: Marisol Wende [deceased]
Other Family: None- her mother's family doesn't like her at all.
Crush: None to start.
Girlfriend/Boyfriend: Nope.
Power: She has the ability to slightly manipulate growing things. Plants, that is. And it's not like she can make them instantly appear or move around, just grow faster. Also, although this isn't exactly a power, she has a strong internal clock. She always knows the time, without having to look at a clock.
Dragon Traits: Her stubby horns poke out just above her hair, and she has patches of blue scales covering her body from her shoulders to her thighs. She also has pointed ears.
Personality: Usually a reserved and quiet girl, Sonja takes what comes and never complains. Her constant companions are her cats, Mona and Maya, because they make her laugh and because they are the only creatures that treat her with respect. She is often the target of insults and even physical attacks from humans, but if you hit her, she will fight back with surprising power and skill. When she sees injustice being done or someone being hurt, she will first stop to consider advantages and disadvantages. If the odds fall in your favor, she will be loyal to the end. She hates the way halflings are treated by humans, but knows that if she speaks up that will take her farm, and she will starve, and so she holds her tongue. Hard-working and almost painfully punctual, Sonja can be best described as a coin with two very different sides.
History: She doesn't know a whole lot about her family's past, but she has always known that she was completely different from normal humans. For one thing, her mother's family completely disowned her mother after they saw she had given birth to a halfling. Sonja has outlived her mother by seven years (she died of tuberculosis), and without the support of family, it's tough just to get by. She lives in a tiny house on the edge of a tiny plot of land. For some reason, the only plants hardy enough to grow there are onions and turnips. These useless crops don't exactly sell for much, so her diet consists mostly of what she can scavenge or trade for. She's good with her hands, and can sometimes earns a few dollars doing patchwork on clothes or a few fancy embroidery stitches on a dress.
Likes/Abilities: She's a fast runner, she loves to read, and she is very intelligent.
Dislikes/Disabilities: She can't swim, and would rather die than be on a boat of any kind. She dislikes people who are rude, arrogant, or just downright stupid. One of her biggest dislikes is actually herself, however. She wishes she could get rid of her scales, horns, and pointed ears, and just be a normal human.
Image: How about a really detailed description?
Sonja stands at about five foot six, with long golden-brown hair that hangs to the middle of her back. She keeps it in a braid, usually. Her legs are long, making her a fast runner, and she is strong from years of work growing what scant crops can be grown on the dry farmland she tends to. She prefers the colors blue, yellow, and dark green. Her eyes are dark chocolate brown, set behind short lashes. They are a dreamer's eyes, but her chin is entirely stubborn. Her nose is thin-bladed, long, and slightly lifted at the end. Hair, when not in a braid, is kept tucked behind her pointed ears, which are pierced and hung with teardrop-shaped blue stones. Sometimes she keeps a pencil there, too. Her stubby horns poke out just above her hair, and she has patches of blue scales covering her body from her shoulders to her thighs. It's part of the reason she doesn't go swimming, ever.
Other: She keeps two cats- one, a graceful black beauty with an I-don't-give-a-d**m attitude name Mona, and a powerfully built but very sweet siamese named Maya. She's allergic to that fluff that blows off of cottonwood trees and to peanuts.

Shunk.
The hoe sank into the dry ground.
Shhhhsk.
It was dragged backwards again, leaving a small strip of dirt weed-free.
Shunk. Shhhsk. Shunk. Shhhsk.
Sonja Wende paused in her work to rub a hand across her brow. She flicked away the sweat with a snap of her long fingers, then took up the hoe again. "So much work," she grumbled, "just for a few stupid rows of turnips. I hate turnips." She heard a meow, looked up, and saw her black cat Mona sitting on the fence and watching her work. "If only you and Maya would actually do something around here," she told her cat, "like catch the rats in the barn. But no, you laze about and watch me do all the work." Then she realized how ridiculous she sounded. You're talking to cat, Sonja. she told herself. Get back to work. She sank the hoe into the dry, dusty earth and dragged it back again, weeding out the small green plants that would sprout again within the week. And then she would be out here, doing this all over again.

-Nile-

Nile watched the lake for a long while. He often spent hours just staring at the surface, letting his mind wander. After all, he had nothing else to do. He leaned back and looked up at the sky. It was pretty blue, mostly free of clouds- save for a few whispy ones. He sighed and pushed himself to his feet, stretching his arms, legs, and wings. He glanced around, then headed toward the house.

-Rebeca-

Beca made it to the park. The day was cool, being spring. The leaves on trees were slowly starting to come back, becoming bright green where the branches had been bare. The breeze was chilly, but she had on her blue hoodie and didn't mind. She headed toward the usual spot- a bench under a small tree. The glanced toward the pond, which was in the middle of the park. A few geese were there, honking at eachother.

-Chance "Moose"-

Chance set down his paintbrush and got out of the chair. He followed his cousin down from the attic but veered right to go to the bathroom. If his father saw the paint he'd gone all over himself, he'd be angry. So Chance shut the door and leaned over the sink, turning it on. He grabbed a cloth and wet it, wiping the reds and blues off of his face, and trying to get it out of his hair. He couldn't do anything about what was on his shorts and shirt, but oh well. Last of all, he wiped off his glasses. He couldn't see worth crap without them, and couldn't be sure if all the paint was off until he put them back on. Good, they were clean. He turned the sink off and left the bathroom to see what his dad needed.

Sonja finished weeding her small field and stood, placing the hoe over her shoulders and draping her arms from it. She blew a wisp of golden hair out of her face and padded back towards her house, pacing the hoe just outside the door before going inside. There were only three small rooms here- a kitchen, a bathroom, and a bedroom. Sonja went to the kitchen sink and wiped her sweaty face with a wet towel, then got a glass of iced tea from the fridge and sat down to drink it, watching her siamese Maya run in circles, chasing after a fly that had been buzzing around her head.
