Conor smiled, looking at her again. He wasn't really sure what to say either, so he stayed silent for a while. He glanced at his watch, and realized how late it actually was. "How come you're out this late?" he asked curiously, wondering why a human teenager was wandering around the dark, deserted streets in the middle of a cold night. She was lucky that she had run into him, rather than someone more -unsavory, who might not be the best.

Beca had forgotten the darkness and how late it was. She blinked and looked around, the deep shadows looking awfully scary. "Well.." She hesitated, not really sure how she felt about exposing her life at home. She felt like it wouldn't hurt, and it might be nice to. She'd told Zoe some about it, but not in much detail. "My mother is...she is off. Her personalities change extremely quickly, and more often than not it's a negative one. It gets very...suffocating to be in the house with her for long." She explained, her voice quiet. She stared at the ground as she spoke. "So I leave a lot. I've never left at night though. It probably was a stupid choice. But it's very hard to stay there. All she does is yell and throw fits, or if she's in a good..personality, then she's overly sweet most of the time. I've gotten used to the yelling, but still." She shivered, but not with cold. She didn't like thinking about her mother, not at all. It was sad, really. She wished her mother did not have so many personalities.

Sonja opened her eyes slowly, then winced as she sat up and scooted across the couch, looking very embarrassed indeed. "Sorry," she said, yawning. "I didn't mean to fall asleep on you or anything." She chuckled. "It's been a long day." She got up painfully and walked through the doorless doorway to the kitchen. The door had served as a makeshift storm cover for her bean crop the year before, and never gotten replaced. "There's a box of bandages in here somewhere," Sonja muttered to herself, then looked up. The box was sitting on the top of one of the rough wooden cabinets. The girl growled quietly, then flicked her long golden-brown braid over her shoulder, and reached for the box. She gasped and doubled over, clutching her broken rib. She cursed loudly, watching a small brown rat scuttle out of a hole in the corner of the kitchen and disappear through another. "Mona!" she called, forgetting for a moment that Eli was there. "Why can't you ever catch these rats before they get in the house?!"

"I don't really know, she liked trying to look richer than she was." Jasmine said, "I guess the title of Lady went to her head." Jasmine said, as they turned the corner and stepped out in to a gravelled court yard. The castle stood at the other side of the court yard, a set of marble stairs that had been added after the castles construction lead down from the grand double doors, a lion statue with sat on either side of the stairs, and the tall square tower that the doors where built in to towered over the entrance. The tall stone walls had about 6 more towers that you could see built in to them, and tall, thin windows, slits really, broke the smoothness of the walls.

Chance was sure that was a pretty lame reason. Why spend extra money? No telling when you'd need it. But maybe that was just how he'd been raised. He decided not to mention these thoughts, and looked ahead in eagerness to see the castle. When it came into sight, he slowed to a stop to stare at it, pushing his glasses up so that he was looking through them and could actually see. "Wow, awesome." He exclaimed, then slowly continued following Jasmine. His eyes remained on the castle, and he tripped over a loose stone in the driveway, almost falling. He didn't, but it snapped him out of staring. "Man, this is where you live?"

"Oh," Conor said, a sympathetic look crossing his face; he understood what it was like living with people who had mental illnesses, because his little sister had Aspergers Syndrome. Although he knew they were different, there were still some similarities, he supposed. "I'm sorry, that must be tough." He looked up at the sky, staring at the stars for a few seconds, before looking back to her. "...Well, since you probably don't really want to go back home yet, do you want to go get like, coffee or something? It beats sitting in a cold park in the middle of the night," he joked, grinning at her.

Beca opened her mouth to reply, surprised by the offer, but then shut it again. She didn't really want his sympathy, but she didn't mention that. It was nice that people cared, but there was little they could do. She thought about his coffee suggestion. She didn't usually drink coffee, but she didn't dislike it. If he was serious, it might be a better environment than the middle of the park at who knows what time of night. "That wouldn't be bad. Not going home sounds grand." She said with a small smile. "Coffee sounds good, too. But I didn't bring any money with me." She admitted, her smile slipping into a frown.

His grin widened. "Don't worry, I can pay," he told her, stretching his legs out then standing up. He didn't feel like having to deal with getting his wings back under his shirt, mainly because that would include taking his shirt off for a second and that might make Beca a little uncomfortable, so he just picked his jacket up from where it was sitting next to him and pulled it on, effectively covering up his wings. His jackets were always longer, extending down past his waist, which was handy for times like this when he really didn't want to compact his wings, and could let them simply flatten against his back and still be concealed. Plus, he just liked the style. "I know this little place not far away, they have amazing lattes and the best pound cake," he explained excitedly.

Beca would probably feel bad if she let him pay, but oh well. He didn't seem to mind and maybe she'd be able to learn some more. She watched as he put his jacket on, hiding his wings. It was a shame he had to do that, because his wings were quite interesting, but oh well. "Alright, thank you." Her smile returned, but again it was a small one. "Just lead the way."

Kyle stared at who ever it was and then turned stomping away his eyes glued on his feet anger was vibrating from him. Hi purple hair shown in the darkness and his matching violet eyes blazed with anger, though it was subsiding and soon he would be back to normal. He glanced around watching listening; he was waiting. Just waiting for something to happen, anything at all. His eyes racked over the people passing giving them the chills and he smiled slightly despite of it all. That smile soon turned upside down, 'like the saying turn your frown upside down only this time it was more like turn your smile upside down. Or something like that' Kyle thought dimly and started walking again towards the bus stop he still wanted to go cliff diving.

Sky narrowed her eyes, her mother, Sakura, was still yelling at her. Silently she opened her window and glanced around. She would be back but right now she could not stand it she silently slipped out skittering down a tree that grew near her window, she could have flown down but that was too much work. Today she had made her arm or arm wing simply an arm it was too showy when it was a wing, she looked around her icy gaze seeming to freeze everything that it passed. Not only had she hidden her arm wing but she had also made her horns shape into a thin skull that caped the top of her head. Carefully slipping out and cap she pull her flowing silver hair up in a bun under the cap, then she pulled out a trench coat and slipped it on, it hide her wings. She started walking listening to the sound of her feet, *pat, pat, pat* soft and practically silent she grinned, she was just like a ninja but better cause she could fly. 'one day I will get up and fly away' she thought closing her eyes and smiling at the prospect of just getting away that was her life long dream, get away and do something epic.
