"I could," she agreed.

Erik nodded as he looked out the window.

Aria sighed again. "So..." she began. This may seem... strange, but would you maybe tell me a story or something? I can't sleep, I'm hoping to take my mind off of things."

Erik chuckled, "What kind of story?" he asked as he looked over at her.

"Oh... I don't know," she said with a mildly embarassed chuckle.

"Want to hear one about Kylar?" Erik asked as he looked at her.

"Sure!" She smiled tiredly, but with genuine pleasure at the idea.

Erik chuckled, "Well this was when we first met, and we were both still young. Kylar was cocky as nothing else and we got set up on a big, heist, and I mean big, and above our level. He said we could do it though, and I was almost as cocky as he was. So we went and ran into a big problem, they had dogs, now Kylar thought he could win these brutes over, so he had brought some treats and tried to feed it to them, but they grabbed his sleeve and pulled him down from the fence. I have never seen Kylar run that fast in his life, and I couldn't help but laugh as these two poodles chased him around the property as he threw bits of steak at them and baby talked."

Aria laughed, softly, though, for fear of hurting herself or waking Kylar. "That's hilarious! How'd you get out of that one?"

"I finally stopped laughing long enough to haul him over the fence with one of the poodles on his rear, lucky for him he must not have been that tasty because it let go." Erik smiled.
