Marcus smiled and scratched Skoal's neck. The horse shook his self and Marcus laughed, finding the feeling amusing.

Kylar watched and looked at him, "I think that's enough today, don't want you to be to sore." he said softly.

Marcus smiled and nodded, and climbed down. Skoal swung his head about and nudged the boy with his nose.

Kylar watched, "Let's brush him down and feed him." he smiled at her.

Marcus nodded and picked up a brush.
Aria smiled, seeing the affection in Marcus's eyes.

Kylar silently brushed Shadowmere down, smiling at his brother, proud of him.

Marcus smiled and watched. "Thank you," he said. He was absolutely thrilled to have some pride invested in him. Most people thought he was dumb because he never spoke, it was a nice change to be payed attention to in a good way.

Kylar looked at him when he spoke, "Of course, tomorrow we can go for a ride and maybe I can teach you how to hunt." he said, "if you don't know how to." he added after a moment.

Marcus nodded. He did know how to hunt, but he wanted to spend more time with Kylar.
"Marcus!" It was Lisette's voice, and the boy turned toward the door when it came to them from outside.
"Go ahead," said Aria.
Marcus ran out the door.

Kylar silently watched his brother go, he walked over to Aria and looked at her, "My brother knows how to hunt." he said softly. "Why would he say he doesn't?" he asked as he looked at her, studying her face with his own dark eyes. They were slightly unnerving with the added darkness in them, it just added to the soulless his brother had been referring to earlier. Something had happened to him when his heart stopped, and it didn't seem to be something good, at all. There was a darkness that had seeped into his heart with the poison, and when it had stopped that darkness took a hold of it and lingered after the poison had left him. But he was still acting normally, for now, it seemed.
