Ronan nodded. "Okay," she said. Last time, Axel had told her they had seven minutes to go, and now it was three. Had their entire conversation only taken four minutes? It seemed longer, but that must have had something to do with her semi-sleepiness or something.
Xero mumbled something in his sleep, shifting a little. He was now very close to the end of his seat, as if he were about to fall off. He shifted again, falling down onto the floor with a thump. "Ow!" he said, waking up immediately. "What happened?" he asked. "Why am I on the floor? Did I fall? Why didn't anyone catch me?" A flurry of questions flew out of his mouth as he stared up at Verran, Axel, and Ronan.
