Asylum (Semi Lit)

"Yeah, he's always there for me. He usualy helps in situations when I'm afriad to do something. He's stronger than I am." Axel said with a light smile. 'Much stronger.' He mentally added. "He gets mad at me alot though, and we get into fights. It scares me sometimes, that Verran seems to like him more than me though..."

Ronan cast him a slightly confused look. "What makes you think that?" she asked. "I don't think Verran likes Rex more than he likes you," she said. After all, they were kind of the same person, weren't they? So how would that even be possible? She sighed, wondering how that worked, having two personalities.(ugh, wb>.<)

"He always wants Rex to be there more than me. He never thinks I'm strong enough to handle anything..." Axel said softly, his voice barely a whisper. "It feels like he dosn't want me anymore, he just wants Rex there most of the time...and it's scary...to think that I might disappear..." He paused, his hood shadowing his whole face again as he shifted. "Even when I went to the asylum, and he was still at home, it always felt that way..."

Ronan was surprised, and a little saddened by what Axel said. Does he really think he'll just disappear? she thought, hoping it wasn't true and it wouldn't happen. "You won't disappear, Axel," she murmured. "Because we all want you to be here." Her faint smile widened, trying to reassure Axel that they didn't want him to fade. And even if Verran seemed like he wanted Rex more, she knew - or at least, hoped - that he thought the same thing, too.

Axel's eyes widened slightly, "Really? Do you really mean that?" For the first time in a while, he didn't feel Rex's anger. He didn't feel Rex trying to push his way to the surface.

Ronan nodded, letting her smile widen ever so slightly, so that it was almost a grin. "Yes, really," she said. "And really, what would Rex or anyone else be without you?" she asked, chuckling a little in an attempt to lighten up the semi-depressing mood. She glanced around, again wondering when the train would arrive in Los Angeles.

Axel smiled, feeling a little bit lighter. "Thanks, that means alot to me..." He realized what she was wondering, and quickly responded. "Seven minutes."

Ronan glanced at Axel, confusion evident in her eyes. She wondered how he knew what she was thinking, although she didn't think about it much. Passing it off as something to do with Axel's split personality, Ronan nodded. "Thanks," she said, yawning slightly. The nap she had taken earlier didn't take away her sleepiness. At least, not all of it. Ronan hadn't slept the entire day, as she was thinking over their escape before they met up in the tunnels. She was going over every part of her plan, checking for any holes in it. Of course, there were plenty, but apparently, luck was on their side for now.

However, because of her constant planning and the insomnia that resulted from it, she never got any sleep that day, and now it was starting to catch up to her. Ronan yawned lightly, her eyes drooping, but just slightly. She had gone longer without sleep before, so she thought she would be able to stay up. She glanced over at Verran, then at Xero, who was still asleep, curled up next to her. "Only seven minutes, huh?" she murmured.

Axel nodded, "Yeah..." He wnispered softly, listening to the roar of the engine. "I've road this train many times...Verran and I got in trouble with the police alot there..." He said, laughing lightly. "But what happens in L.A stays in L.A."

"Um, okay then?" Ronan said, although the words came out like a question. She hadn't really wanted that to happen, as it made her seem unsure, even a little nervous. She hoped Axel hadn't noticed that, and kept up her smile. "Trains are nice," she noted, patiently waiting the last few minutes for the train to stop.(Sorry for the short post, but I have to go now...)
