Xero stared up at Verran, waiting for him to say something. It seemed like he didn't know that Verran probably wasn't going to say something, and continued to look up at him, expecting words to flow out of his mouth. He frowned when they didn't, and turned his head to look out the window again at the trees that whipped by as the train moved.

Ronan glanced over at Xero, and leaned towards the window he was looking out through. "What are you looking at, Xero?" she asked, attempting to create a conversation. When Xero didn't seem to acknowledge her question and just kept staring out of the window blankly, she sighed, closing her eyes for a brief moment.
