Why?: She has to wear long dark robes all over her body when she goes out in public- which isn't very often, or else she'll get blisters all over her skin and die within minutes. She could bend the light away, but that would draw unwanted attention, so she only does that inside the bunkers.

Kat looked down, surprised to see a solid snowball in her hand once more. She tilted her head, confused, until she spotted Abigail watching her. Kat smiled gratefully and began to turn away, but whipped around suddenly to pelt the snowball at Abigail, though not hard enough that it could hurt.
