Darren nodded again, "That's fine," he reassured her, moving back over to the door and opening it, looking around the hallway and checking to make sure the coast was clear before looking back over at Xaria, seeing her take the couple of shaky steps and ready to rush and catch her if she fell.

Xaria's face was concentrated as she tried to get back to normal. She shook her head before smiling widely. She walked towards him and it was obvious it wasn't the first time that had happened to her.

Darren watched her for a moment before stepping out into the hallway, looking around as he tried to remember which way he had come to get here. He glanced back over at Xaria after a moment, patiently waiting for her to catch up to him.

Xaria smiled at him apologetically. She wasn't quite confident enough to speed up on her own so she placed a hand on the wall to steady herself as she walked faster. "Which way?" She asked, looking at him.

Instead of answering Darren set out toward where the stairs where, "Are you sure you don't need any help walking?" he asked when he noticed her place her hand on the wall, he knew that he would probably have issues with asking for help from a stranger, but he did want to help...however odd that was for him.

"I-" Xaria was about to decline but her legs failed. She landed on the floor. "Okay... So I might need a little help..." She looked up at him sheepishly.

Darren cursed himself silently for not having caught her as he moved over to Xaria side and offered his hand to help her up, "I can carry you if you need me to?" he offered gently, studying her and tilting his head slightly.

Xaria took his hand, getting up with his help. "I'll let you carry me if I injure myself..." She said with a smile. She wasn't used to getting such an offer and she blushed. She wanted to be as independent as possible.

Darren gave a small smile as he moved to help her with her balance, looping one arm around her mid section, "Fair enough," he told her, nodding his head and studying her.

Xaria's blush deepened slightly at the close proximity. This was definitely not something she was used to as she wasn't popular with the opposite gender at home.
