Jiangshi, Jackfrost, and Witch will take advantage of this by attacking you directly." That was when Jackfrost's ability came in handy. With Ameba facedown and lost in the Mansion for now, all three Ghostricks would take advantage of his temporary absence. "Jiangshi, attack(400ATK)" The hopping zombie made his way over to Regi, jumping up into the air and diving down at her feet first.

Regina braced herself as she took the hopping zombie's attack.

"The trick-or-tricking doesn't end there, as Jackfrost(800ATK) and Witch(1200ATK) will follow in the hopsteps of Jiangshi and attack you directly as well." The snowman inhaled deeply before exhaling a freezing wind at Regi. This was followed by the cutesy witch waving her broom in the air like a magical girl waving her wand, bringing it down and firing a stream of cartoonish stars that followed the path of the freezing wind.

"Hate to burst your bubble but because you decided to have you last two monsters attack me at the same time instead of spacing them out, it does. Go Deep Current! I was saving this for Witch's attack but your move is letting it protect me from two for the price of one!", the teen grinned as her face down card flipped face up and a pillar of swirling water sprung up before her, "Though you did take 400 of my life points thanks to your zombie."

"Do not think I will make that mistake again. Now that my battle phase is over, I will show you a trick that all the Ghostrick monsters from my main deck share. Once per turn, they can change themselves to facedown defense position. Scatter my friends, into your hiding places." Swiftly, the monsters all scattered, disappearing into secret passages that did not seem to be there before. "I will end my turn after setting a card facedown."

Having managed to get through a round of physical attacks from Kio's supernatural monsters, the teen could now focus on more pressing matters. Matters like playing some offense without worrying about having her attempts being stopped before they could hit their marks. Attacking the male duelist's monsters were no good right now and neither was having her own monster's attack the blue haired teen. "Looks like it's my turn then.", said Regina as she drew a card from her deck before adding it to her hand. Still the card she needed eluded her....more battling in the creepy old mansion this round too. Wonderful. Unless... Yes it was worth a try even though it would require changing her initial strategy somewhat. If this play worked then maybe, just maybe, the female student could take down one or even two of her opponent's monsters. At the very least it should expose some weakness in the new student's playing. "From my hand I'm activating the trap card called Diamon Dust! With the power of this card I destroy all WATER Monsters on the field! This card then deals you 500 pints of damage for every WATER Monster that it sent to the graveyard! Let's try this again, only now I'm not attacking one of your monsters and my monster isn't attacking you either! Just because the monster isn't visible doesn't mean it isn't here right? I use Diamond Dust to send my Ameba to the graveyard!" At the girl's command a frigid air carrying snow filled the room swirling about the field.

That damage would be more than worth it, as she had just created the criteria for using a monster's effect. To be exact, a mirror on a stand in the room shook as the sound of a young lady crying echoed through the room. "From my hand I activate the effect of Ghostrick Mary. When I take damage, I need only send her from my hand to the graveyard to call help to the field in facedown defense position, a Ghostrick to be exact." A wolf's howl could now be heard echoing through the mansion, the lady's cries disappearing. "Looks's like he is on his way here. You should see him next turn."

"Don't worry, I'm not leaving him lonely. So now I'm going to banish Ameba from my graveyard in order to summon a spooky play pal of my own. Aqua Spirit (att-1600 and def-1200), appear!", the green haired girl continued placed the card onto her duel disk. Right on cue a young women clad in pale blue-almost wedding-like attire appeared on the field before Regina. Her like wise colored hair was cropped short with fish fins sticking out among the locks for ears, her vail made of water. "Joining my spirit friend will be a monster with a bit more teeth...Doppelganger Shark(attk-1000 and def-1000) say hello!" A dark blue and blue-gray colored shark with a pair of almost bat-like red tipped fins appeared on the field beside Aqua Spirit."Now for a little trick of my own in the form of Doppleganger's special ability. Whenever it's summoned normally to the field it can transform into and become a duplicate of any monster I want on the field. Show Kio what I mean Doppleganger and transform into Aqua Spirit." The shark's form began to shift until the fish was replaced by an almost perfect copy of the water women it was teamed up with. Stage one complete and so far so good. "Also so you know thanks to Aqua Spirit's special ability during each of your turns, I can select one of your face up monsters and change their battle position. Once changed they stay that way until the end of the turn."

A noble try, but not all the tricks up his sleeve were from monster effects. She would be learning that sooner or later. The terrifying power of the Ghostricks was not that they were hard to get rid of. It was all the tricks they had, all their ability to avoid being touched. It was like a halloween party, only they didn't wear costumes and treating would never be their forte. "Interesting. I attempted to shut down your ability to attack, and now you will try to best me at my game."

"Honestly I'm just looking for loop holes in your strategy, not that your ghosts and zombies are helping. Though I think you're both starting to grow on me already.", said Regina with a small amused smile, "I'm overlaying level four Aqua Spirit with my second Aqua Spirit!" Both female monsters became shrouded in light before jetting into the air above the duelists. Meanwhile a swirling vortex opened up on in the middle of the floor in the old mansion, sucking in both new streaks of light. "Thanks to these two monsters I can build the Overlay Network and Xyz Summon! Come out of hiding Rank Four Abyss Dweller(attk-1700 and def-1400)!" On cue a large black sea serpent appeared poised on the field staring down snarling at Kio and his monsters. Parts of it's body glowed with areas of luminescent blue light. "Time to nd this round. Abyss Dweller, go introduce yourself to Ghostrick Jiangshi with Abyssal Surge!"
