"Thanks for the offer, but I'm not so old that I can no longer carry this weight." Oh, so she had come because a friend suggested it? That did not mean the girl had no aim of creating her own legend, for she would not have come even on a recommendation if she did not wish to become stronger. So she didn't know how to move her monsters? Not many individuals did nowadays, treating their cards with the same lack of respect he himself had once shown his own ninjas. They didn't treat them like partners, like beings with their own feelings, but instead used them like tools to gain victory. "Your friend sounds wise, whoever he is. Of course, I think I can guess just by looking at you. Is his name, by any chance, Fate Tredwell? He sent you to see Kaze? Well, my student, you've much to learn if you can't understand how life is like these stairs. The sooner we get up there, the sooner your lesson can begin."

"Yeah, I'm Regina...", Regina blinked a couple times before taking off up the stairs after the man. "Wait a sec, you just called me your student. So then that means you're Master Kaze?", the girl asked tilting her head to the side a bit. Though the question was pointless since it was obvious from his words that this man was the very teacher she'd come to see. During the hike up to the Sanctuary the green haired duelist didn't take her eyes off of Kaze's back for a moment. 'I wonder how this guy knows Fate....', Regina wondered silently as she followed close behind the man.

Kaze glanced back at Regina, just a swift glance to see how she was holding up. She seemed to be bursting with the need to ask a question, one that she didn't need to voice aloud as he answered after turning his attention to the remainder of the climb. "You're probably wondering how I know Fate, why he would send you here, and I'll give you the answer you need. He was like you once, lacking the ability to move his monsters, and he came here in an attempt to get out of the rut he found himself in. I helped Fate in this regard, showed him the path I was shown by a boy named Yuma. It isn't enough to just summon monsters, and you will soon learn that." Oh, would she learn the reality of the situation. The statues would teach her, just as his master had used them to teach his students.

Fate? Stuck in a rut when it came to dueling? The girl almost laughed at the idea. She had dueled her upperclassmen and he sure didn't seem like someone who was in a rut or used to be to her. Of course it was not like she knew anything about him other then his mother was a well known, respected actress. Was he really a successful student of Kaze's? But it was the last few sentences that caught the attention of the green haired teen to the point where she momentarily paused in the ascent up the ever climbing staircase. A boy named Yuma showed him the right path? Wait..... The Duel Sanctuary......Kaze.....the number twelve flashing before her mind's eye....stories of a monkey attack.... "So that's how!", Regina breathed,"That's why everything seemed so familiar, why the number twelve popped up in my head when Fate mentioned coming here to see you! You're that Kaze aren't you!? You were Crimson Shadow's holder!"

Kaze grimaced slightly before smiling softly and turning to look at Regina, now at the top of the stairs. "That wasn't exactly the crowning point in my life, but yes. There was a time when I possessed Crimson Shadow Armor Ninja. Still, I'm thankful for that day. If I had never faced Yuma, if Crimson Shadow had never come to me, I would be in a sorry state. I would still be letting my anger control me. So while it was not the crowning point in my life, it is the point that set me down the right path." Thinking back on that day still brought a smile to Kaze's face, though certainly not one of an egotistical man. It was a bittersweet smile, one that came from knowing that it was only be falling further into the darkness that he and his ninjas had finally been able to emerge into the light. "As you can now see, I know all too well when an individual is in a rut, and this was the Fate that came to me. The Fate that left was confident, knew how to move his monsters. He changed during his time as my pupil, and I am proud of the person he is today. Just as someone made sure I could be proud of who I am today. Now that's enough focusing on me; it's time to focus on you and your understanding of phrase 'moving your monsters', Regina Tsukumo." Who else could she be but Yuma's daughter, having knowledge of that day? He didn't exactly advertise it, nor did he ever mention the Numbers to any of the students he'd had in the past. There was also the fact that, looking at her more closely, he could definitely note some similarities between the two. It was almost poetic in a way. The father had taught him, and now he could pass that lesson on to the daughter.

Lux's cape billowed around her as she pulled her runner up to the front of Tredwell manor. The gauntlet on her arm gleamed dully in the afternoon sun, and behind her mask her expression was set and determined. She had a mission here today, and she'd spent the better part of the morning making sure she could pull it off. She approached the front doors and stood there, expectantly, waiting for someone to open it. If Fate was as clairvoyant as he claimed, he would have seen her coming. If not, the camera watching her would probably help.

EDITED!!!

When Regina threw open the Sanctuary doors and stepped inside of the training room, the green haired girl stopped looking around. At first the girl didn't notice anything really special about the room other then it being a regular room with a wooden floor......until she looked along the walls. Regina soon found herself making a b-line for the nearest statue of a monster she recognized as Red Eyes Black Dragon. Reaching up to lightly run a hand over the cool carved wood, "Wow. These are incredible and they're all around the place. So life like.....", said the green haired young duelist,"Who made all these? You?"

Regina continued to admire the carving of the legendary dragon monster when, out of the corner of her eye, something captured her attention. Turning around to have a better look at the new object the green haired girl's eyes widened. Leaving the dragon statue behind and making her way over to the new statue, Regina came to a halt in front of it staring up. The female duelist stood on her toes reaching up as best she could in an attempt to trace the number 39 carved into it's armor. "Is this.....is this really?", brushing her hand over the smooth fine carved wood over the winged monster, "Utopia."

"That's right. I helped my master carve that in honor of one of his students, the same student that brought me back to my senses. Many of the others you see were carved by my master." Saying this, Kaze walked over to a statute that looked as if it had been slashed before, cut down by his own hands in a fit of rage. The Blade Armor Ninja statue had since been put back together, of course, but that scar served to remind him of a darker time in his life. "Of course, a few were carved by my hands in honor of my students," he continued, his gaze turning to a statue of a woman garbed in the clothes of an oracle with two puppet-like arms extending from 'wings' jutting from her back. It was a statue of the monster one of his students, the same student who had suggested Regin come to this place, and had only recently been finished. "It may seem a strange thing to do, but it helps me remember each life I have changed. Each life my master changed."

For as awed as the teen felt staring up at the statue her hand curled into a fist, the familiar negative pool of emotions bubbling to the surface again. Her dad had trained here and Kaze had a connection to him.... The girl wanted to get stronger, yes she silently admitted to this desire, but with the statue of Utopia standing in the room the frustration and anger was undeniable. Regina withdrew from the winged warrior monster, backing away to turn her back to the statue imitation. Though, as luck or fate would have it, the green haired duelist came face to wood with the female statue Kaze's gaze was on. The Academy student stared up at the unfamiliar monster for several minutes in complete silence just staring up at it. Finally the teen turned away to walk over towards the more experienced duelist. "Master Kaze", said Regina removing and activating her duel gazer," I'm ready. Let's get dueling."
