Again, Sam was lost on what to say. Should he help her with this running away, or should he try to convince her to go back? To his surprise, he found himself saying, "Well, do you have any relatives, or friends or someone that you could go stay with?"

[color=#FF0000]Kat took Maisy from the boy, but the cat immediately jumped down and started curling around his legs. Kat smiled, despite the oddness of the situation. "She likes you."

He laughed, "I see." He says looking at the cat.
Alli looked at the boy, "I'm running away, i'm not staying with anyone related to me." She said feeling a little angry.

"Fine, fine!" Sam said, a little defensively. "I was just suggesting. I don't see how you're going to cope, that's all. I mean, you're not exactly dressed for running away..." he said, guesturing to her dress. He knew she just been to her Grandfather's funeral, but a change of clothes would help...

Kat suddenly felt a bit awkward. "I should be going... My mum says not to talk to strangers..." she muttered.

"Well Alright," Said Jack half-grinning.
She smiled at him, her breath was visible when she talked, "I'll find something," She said looking at him, her bright green eyes shining in the light. It started to sleet, or snow, she couldn't really tell. She was freezing, her skin white as the snow but her fingers, nose and cheeks bright red.

"Yeah, well you can't stay here," Sam stated, "You look freezing." It was snowing now outside, so, although it wasn't exactly landing on them, the chill could still be felt. he'd invite her to stay with him, but he didn't really know her, and he'd no idea what his Mum'd say. Not that she was around much.

((How are they going to get to the forest? Presuming that's the plot we're going with...))

(Maybe they had a small home or something in the woods that she could stay and then they got lost on the way there?)

She looked at him, "I have no were else to go," She said quietly, she was freezing and couldn't stand being out there much longer.

"Right. Take my jacket. I'm thinking," Sam announced, handing Ali back his jacket. Where could she go? Not back home, that much was clear from what she'd said, and not relatives or friends either. Couldn't stay here, couldn't stay at his house... What if it wasn't his house though? Something belonging to him, that his parents wouldn't bother about. Treehouse.
"Er... Well... Ok, I've got this house, this treehouse, in the woods, over that direction," he said, pointing, "that you could stay in, for a while, at least. I could bring you stuff..."

"Yeah.Um...Bye," Kat finished, reaching down and scooping up the wriggling cat. She turned back down the pavement, and hurried back to her house. When she got to the door, she looked back down the path, and the boy was still there, but she didn't wait, instead, opened the door and went back inside.

((I was thinking about bringing Kat into the woods a little later, maybe using the cat to get her there?))

Jack smiled, he left after she went in, he walked away slowly.
Ali took his jacket and pit it on, she felt warmer but she was still cold, she zipped it up, "Kay," She said thinking about the warm tree house. She looked at him and smiled, why was he being so kind to her? She thought.

"Uhm...Right....We should get going." He was conscious of the time; it was about 2 in the morning now, but he couldn''t leave now. Not just yet. "It's this way."
The forest was about fifteen minutes walk from the substation, and the treehouse was about ten minutes walk from the start of the forest. He wasn't entirely sure of the way, but it couldn't be that far, could it?

She walked with him, was he sure of where he is going? She thought to herself, she felt warmer with her jacket on, she looked around in the woods, she would hate to be lost in here at this time of night. She looked at him, "How much farther?" She said getting a little afraid of the woods, she moved a little closer to him.
