"I won't let that happen," Kitshin mumbled. "I'm not going to let anyone et hurt. This happened because I was late. It's my fault... I should stop it."

"No matter what you do, somebody is going to get hurt. Usually it's those closest to you." Aika looked at the floor, unable to look at Kitshin. "But without those closest to you, you'll fail. Everyone fails occasionally, though if you fail everything will fall apart." Now she looked Kitshin in the eyes, telling her the truth and that she needed to believe it to succeed.

[sheep.]

"A mistake is a good experience. You learn from mistakes.... even if it's the worst one ever," Kitshin mumbled, avoiding eye contact. "Be careful what you wish for, it might come true... Be careful what you don't wish for, it might not come true."

"Come, we are done here." Aika muttered, then turned to leave. "I spoke to Naomi before coming here, and she said that we might be able to leave today rather than in two days. She has worked hard with Kasumi, Kichirou and Jirou to pack. Jirou has been deciding whether or not we should go on one of our bison as there will be more space than Ioka. We only need one of our bison, though we have two." She told Kitshin, her heart not in it. The truth was that she was going to miss her home though they didn't have much. But they would have more than Aika would have on her journey. It would be hard to be away.

"Ai-chan, everything will be okay." She wrapped her arm over the other girl's shoulders. "I promise." She looked up at the statue before walking away slowly.

Aika smiled slightly, though it was still sad. She led the way out of the Temple, and watched as the door closed. Then she turned away and started towards her home.
"Hey, loser!" A very familiar voice mocked Aika. "Who's your loser friend? She's not from around here."
"Izanami." Aika said through clenched teeth. "This is my cousin from the Western Air Kingdom. Cousin, say hello to the....delightful Izanami." She lied easily, hoping that Kitshin would understand her need for secrecy. It seemed obvious that Izanami didn't recognise Kitshin, but it was also incredibly lucky.

Kitshin just stared at Izanami. Atleast now she knew what people thought of her when they didn't know she was the Avatar. She glanced at Aika, before looking back at Izanami. "H... Hello..." she mumbled shyly, trying to make her voice sound different.

"Huh. You shouldn't hang around your loser cousin, the loserness might rub off on you." Izanami smiled cruelly, then came closer. "You should hang around with me, and then maybe the loserness will skip you." She turned to Aika. "As for you, I bet she doesn't even have a proper bed. I've seen your house, and inside of it."
"Keep out of it." Aika told Izanami, then turned her back on her and tried to tug Kitshin away.

Kitshin's face was fierce as Aika pulled her away. She let her happily. "I'd like to give her a lesson she'll never forget..." she mumbled to herself, trying to calm down with closed eyes. "And like I'd ever want to hang with her again. At least now I know what people think about me when they don't know—" she paused, and mouthed the words 'I'm the Avatar'.

"Ignore Izanami. Everyone around here are usually kind and helpful, though Izanami and her family are absolutely horrid." Aika shivered, the hatred for Izanami obvious. "We were friends when we were about 5, it was before I beat her in that fight back then, and my family were quite rich. After I beat her, everything changed. Not long after my little sister turned four, our parents went to the war and never came back. The money disappeared somewhere, and we moved into our current house. Izanami became crueler, and she's gotten worse since."
