Izanami ignored her comment, and led Kitshin down the two flights of stairs. Her father was waiting at the bottom, a tall bald man with a
very serious face. As he saw his daughter, he gave her a quick hug before looking at Kitshin.
"Is this the Avatar? Doesn't look like one." Izanami's father said rudely, disappointment etched onto his face. "Izanami, you'd better turn her into a powerful airbender and not let our family down." He said to his daughter, warning in his voice. Instantly Izanami flinched, though she had a fake smile on her face.
"Father, when would I ever disappoint our family?" Izanami asked sweetly, knowing the answer before he even answered.
"When you let that Aika girl beat you in your training." He answered, then turned away and headed into the kitchen. Her features hardened as she followed her father, for once completely forgetting Kitshin.
