Blood, Sand and Tears (Public remake)-Accepting!

(Ok, it's just I have a book called 'Boudica: Dreaming the Eagle' by Manda Scott, it's the first in a series of four. As you can probabley tell it's about Boudica, it's a historical fiction. The four books tell her life, starting when she was 12. It tells of life in Britain before the Romans took over, of course there are still Romans. Anyway it's an awesome book! I will warn you though, it's aimed at adults, the print is about size 12, maybe smaller Times New Roman and is about 600 pages long. But it's been researched very well and if you are really into ancient history (which you seem to be!) I would highly recommend it!)

((Sounds interesting! If your interested as well I read a book called Cleopatra's Daughter by Michelle Moran. Its about Cleopatra's children with marc Antoney and what happens to them after both of their parents die. It is more aimed for adults also.))


"It's to late to do anything besides cut you hair. Serva!" I called to a servent. "Yes, domina," she replied. "Are you good at hair cutting?" I said. "Yes, domina" she said. "Good, please fetch the siciors. You are to cut my friends hair like a boys." I said. She rushed out of the room and quickly returned. "Are you ready?" I asked Callisto.

(Cool! I shall look that up! My Dad has loads of historical fiction in the study, I must go and have a look! I nicked 'Boudica' off him!)

Callisto nodded "Yes."

"Go a head then." I told the slave. She started to cut with very small slips. When she was done I looked at her and smiled. "Go fetch a mirror," I commanded. The servent ran off and I said to Callisto, "You have to see this."

"What do I look like?" Callisto asked, looking at Natalia.

[happy-thump]

The slave came back with a hand mirror. "Look for yourselve." I replied.

Callisto looked at the mirror and blinked "That isn't me." She couldn't recognise herself and had to touch her face to make sure that it was her.

Alexandrus sighed, quite bored. He almost wished he was in school. After mulling on the thought, he decided to return home. He was greeted by the fresh scent of bread baking. His mother was at it again. He found her in the kitchen area, peeling a head of lettuce apart. She glanced up at him, muttering some latin beneath her breathe, with scolding eyes. "Aye Alexandrus, why are you not in school?" His mother was quite beautiful; he certaintly hadn't gotten his fair hair and entoxicating eyes from his father. Alex gave his mother a sly smile and explained to her what happened. She scolded him, promising not to tell his father if it didn't happen again. "Now go back down to the market and get me some fish," she said, dropping a small brown sack filled with coins in his hand. -- Archilles woke up shortly after he fell asleep. The warm sand of the arena was comforting. He pushed himself up. Still groggy, he stumbled his way from the arena. The high sun woke him fully. He glanced about the busy street. Surprisingly, there was nothing for him today in Rome.

(You guys watch Spartacus Blood and Sand? I love that show so much X3 And I'm very into ancient history Latin is mandatory for all four years of my high school I <3 it so much!)
