Devon nodded his head. "Ok, lets go." Devon looked ahead. Rows of cars were buzzing on the streets. Gosh it was busy. "New plan- we will be going through the woods." he said pointing the strands of tall trees. "To bust out there."

Carmen kept the smile plastered onto her face, but she thought differently. Aren't the woods kinda sketchy? she thought, Maybe it's some kind of weird first date. She was open to the concept of a first date, but to be perfectly honest, the woods kind of scared her. Once she saw a dead animal in there. It was nasty.

Devon crossed the street from the school. He stopped infront of the woods. Pushing away the branches. He wave at Carmen. "C'mon, its not that bad." he cried out. Shrugging, Devon went deeper into the woods, and stopped half-way waiting for Carmen.

Carmen sprinted after him, making sure that her bag was secure and that she didn't look like an idiot. "Coming!" she called, weaving her way in between trees.

Devon rolled his eyes and started forward. SOon enough, a white blue house came in sight. He stepped out of the woods and waited impatiently for Carmen. Goodness, what makes her so slow?! he thought. Shaking his head, he moved on.
From the woods, to his neighbor hood, it was nothing alike. A row of big houses were planted on the street, not some scrawny, old branches.

Carmen hurried up, stumbling out of the woods. She looked around, her eyes wide in awe. "You live here?" It looked more like a whole development of castles than houses.

Devon turned around. "Yeah. Whats so amazing?" he looked at Carmen a bit puzzled. "My family is a bit rich thats all." he looked at his house. "C'mon in." he bed Carmen to follow him into the light blue house.

"Are you sure?" Carmen ran her fingers through her hair, trying to make herself look a bit more presentable. "O-okay..." she clutched her back tight to her side, walking through the opened door, smiling at Devon as she went in.

"Who's that?" Devon's little sister, Maria asked. She giggled. Her friends seemed to know something. "Devon has a girlfriend!" she cried.
Not embarrassed at all, Devon rushed after Maria. The ten year-old screamed in delight and ran around the house. His mother stared at Carmen.

"Hello." Carmen smiled, hoping that nothing about her face 1) made her look weird, or 2) made herself look a lot like 'Lily'. "I'm Carmen." she held out her hand to shake, trying to be as formal as she possibly could.

Devon's mother nodded her head. She made a suspicious face. "Do I know you?" she asked sharply. "No- I don't." she said answering her own question. She turned on her heel and left. It was silent until a high-pitched scream was heard.

"DEVON'S BOTHERING US!" Maria screamed outloud. "GET LOST!" she cried in Devon's face. "Why do you have to be so annoying?!?!"
Devon snorted. "Annoying describes you the best."
