Nidhogg seemed to ponder his answer for a few moments before he spoke, his words seeming slower than before. "Hearing things going on outside my egg was vital to my survival, and a key point in the reason why dov still roam today. It was like I was trapped in a hard and tightly packed room for decades, hearing the bellows of enraged generals and the screams as raids happened. I remained within mine to ensure I survived the war. It was more an act of instinct than anything." He said, glancing down at the earth. "As much as I like how things are now, I wonder what things were like before, and how the land looked then. Today, everything is claimed by technology. The only freedom I and the other dov would have is to fly to Atmorah, a continent located a months flight away over an ocean. No dov can withstand a flight that long, and we are not known to be good swimmers.."
Saadia sat up. "You feel trapped.." She whispered.
"All of us do, my rider. It is now just a natural thing. Like the droids you have befriended here. We have grown used to them and the technology they bring. Very few of us would deny them now." Nidhogg said quietly. "But.. No matter."
"What?! No, we aren't leaving this at that! Nidhogg, we can pull that flight off! We can get to Atmorah!" Saadia's voice grew in strength.
"Silence yourself, Saadia. You get too encouraged in feats no dov has accomplished in centuries. What makes you think a lowly beast and his rider can pull it off? No... We will not go to Atmorah. The flight is dangerous, and we do not know who would join us. What I do know is that not a single half-brained whelp would come." Nidhogg snorted, black ash billowing from his nostrils briefly. "Next question, please.."
"Nidhogg, please! I can't deal with things knowing you feel trapped! We have to try at the very least!" Saadia stood.
"Saadia! This is no ordinary journey! It is a succeed or die one!" Nidhogg bellowed.
Kendal got up, throwing his alarm across the room. "I don't have work leave me alone!!" He yelled before he sunk back into the pillows.
"Yes you do." The phone he threw replied.
"Shut up, Chrome. I wanna sleep." Kendal muttered.
"Kendal you have to go check in before the races. The factory went down overnight and it's your job to fix it because Apollo is in vacation." Chrome sighed.
"I dun wanna.." Kendal hugged a pillow. He screamed as he was pulled from bed by an icy hands clasped around his ankles. "CHROME!"
