"Sheesh! Why do they stay in the eggs for such a long time?!" Kia yelped.

"Dragons choose when they hatch. It was a protective adaptation made when the war between humans and dragons first happened. If some hadn't remained in their eggs all this time, we would not have dragons around today. Nidhogg remembers hints of chats he heard from within his egg during the war, but they are trival for the most part, and are what kept him within his egg for such a long time." Saadia nodded.

"I can't imagine being in an egg. And being able to hear things outside?! Creepy." Kia chuckled.

(Tfw you find out where your problems are coming from rn, express them as its a thing the people around you need to change and you feel really freaking guilty because the reason is you never get to express your interests with your friends cause they brush it off and they won't reply and you just... ;-;)

Saadia nodded. "Hey... We've got some time to kill before the races. You could get better answers from Nidhogg if you asked him directly. Rylen could even get a ride for once." She laughed.

(It's really hurtful. I showed my friend my Peridot and he said, "Ok but imagine Mettaton with Mettaknight's mask" without even acknowledging it... I was explaining how happy I was with it too!)

"That'd be cool I guess. But... Ron aren't you hungry or something?" Kia asked.

(*facepalm* That's how it is with my friend. She thinks her art is so much better so she just brushes it all off and changes the subject instantly. *inhales* boi)

Ron shook his head. "Na I'm good." He nodded.

"I have snacks and such stored in my saddle bags if you happen to be hungry." Saadia nodded. "I've got enough to last a family of five two weeks out in the middle of nowhere."

"Sheesh." Kia chuckled. "Ok then. Let's go talk to the really... Big dragon."

(That sucks! And I just... Your art is great!! And I hate when people are so dismissive.)

Saadia waved a gauntlet covered hand, leading them on the short walk to the park. The large dragon was like a mountain set in the middle of the area. "Nidhogg!" She called.

Kia shrugged slightly following after Saadia. They looked up at the dragon and shuddered slightly. "So uh..."

"Can we fly?" Saadia asked.

Nidhogg sat up, flaring open his massive wingspan. "Aye.. Come on up. The small dragon can ride on my shoulders. All else can ride between my horns." He said.

Saadia smiled. "We have to ride between his horns because there is no saddle big enough to fit over his shoulders. Plus that is the safest place considering the muscles in his back would crush us." She grabbed one of the beast's teeth-which was bigger than she- and began climbing her way up. Ron followed close behind, grinning.
