Aphrodite sighed heavily, pulling off her sweatshirt with one arm, and the otehr holding the big white she-cat with the other. "Shh, easy, Nala," she murmured softly, and looked tword Alex, who choked on his coffee. She amde her way to the counter, staring blankly at the menu as she slid into the seat beside Alex. Nala settled into Aphrodite's lap, curling up and purring as her new owner scratched her head.

Alex looked up and did a double take ( ) and then looked back down at his coffee. Hopefully, she hadn't heard him choke...maybe she just thought he'd doen it on accident. Yea, let's go with that. He sipped his coffee causually looking at her a few times and then at the menu (geez he's so quirky lol)

"Could I have a Coca-Cola, please?" she asked softly, staring at the waitress infront of teh counter. The waitress nodded, smiled,a nd disapeared down the lane to the soda fridge. She got out a bottle, and a cup, aswell as ice and a straw, apeparing by Aphrodite again. She turned slightly, and smiled at Alex for a moment, before she twisted open the soda, and pouring it into the cup.

Nala meo-ur-ouffed' again, and she jumped onto the counter. "Nala!" She gasped, as the medium sized white she-cat moved tword Alex.

Jezzie followed after Aphrodite and hopped into a seat. She looked at the menu and mumbled a "meh" noise, frowning. She had always had trouble with reading. She hadn't gone to school much either, only for a few weeks last year. Mommy didn't like it. She tried to read a few things from the menu. Car....a...mel... Capp... How do you say that last part? she thought. After a few seconds she gave up on the word and tried another. Bis...cotti. That makes sense, I think. But what is it? she frowned again. She thought about asking one of the older people for help, but decided not to. Maybe I'll get something I understand. There's one... Muffin. How much is it? she looked to the right of the word "muffin". $1.50. She understood money much more than reading. She pulled some change out of a small pocket and began counting. One, two, three, four, five dimes... that's fifty cents. Plus one, two quarters... equals... one dollar. And one, two, three, four, five, six, seven nickels... that's twenty cents short. she frowned. She didn't have much money, either.
