Alex || 15
Alex had gone home after meeting the man and returned to the dog he was caring for. The next day, Alex decided it was finally time to visit home.
As he walked along in the woods with the dog on his heels, he passed the spot where he met the man and took his knife, marking a hidden tree so that he could remember the spot. All of a sudden, he heard a gunshot, in the direction of his home. He picked up his paced and called the dog tojoin him as they ran through the woods together. Soon they approached at what Alex once called home. He gaze around before jumping the fence and whistled to the shepherd to try. Being a police bred agility dog in some places, she easily scaled the fence. As soon as she did, he ran to the steps of his house, seeing fresh footprints. A wave of worry came over him as he open the door. "Analise?" He whispered, before a movement caught his eye. His heart sank some as he ran forward and slid beside her, "What happened?" He questioned softly.

"I told you not to call me that," Elise muttered and gave a smile. She opened her eyes to look at her brother. "You came home." Elise's weak gaze then looked behind him, "And you brought a friend?" She smiled weakly.

"I'll be right back, don't move," he said with worry, not really caring what happened but more about what to do. Racing to the medicine room, he quickly grabbed some things and returned to her side, pulling her jacket gently over her shoulder to find a spaghetti string shirt underneath that the bullet had not touched. He gently took some rubbing alcohol and dabbled it on her wound. Before giving her a few pills in her hand to take.

After a while, Elise regained her consciousness and looked forward, he was right where he was sitting for the entire time. "I made a friend, then his father took him away. It was an honest accident," she said, trying to sound optimistic. "I'll be fine," she muttered, glancing down the best she could to stare at her cleaned up wound. "Thank you." She said, rubbing the fur of her brothers own new friend.
