I looked at both of them. "Well I can understand that, you know, a little." I raised my hand and held my index finger and thumb about an inch apart.

Tyson laughed and nodded, "I understand totally sometimes I don't even understand myself" Tyson said with a wide smile.

Ian nodded and smiled, it was a tentative and small smile, but it was still a smile.

"Uh huh." I said. "I would say I see, but it kind of annoys be when people say I see. So...you know what? Just nevermind."

"It is fine" Tyson said and leaned against a wall sliding down and sat leaning against the wall.

Ian stayed standing listening for the teacher his eyes clear and focused.

I pulled my knees up to my chest and rested my head on them. "So uh...how about the weather?" I said, merely for the sake of conversation.

"hmm, it is okay I guess I was not paying attention" Tyson said and looked around as if looking for a window and then gave up with a sigh.

"It is okay" Ian said mildly.

I shrugged. "You know, you two didn't really need to answer that. Quite a cliche topic. You always could have said 'Nissa, shut up. You're just making an idiot out of yourself.'" I said with another shrug.

"I can't do that it is not nice I think, I will answer even if I don't know what to say" Tyson said with a laugh and Ian nodded.

"Well that's nice of you." I said. "But if you ever want me to just shut up, say something. Okay?"
