Yukino's breath misted in the air as he stepped out of the store.
"Come again soon!" the girl behind the counter chirped happily as the door swung shut behind him. Yukino smiled a little, even though she couldn't see it. Thank God the store accepts EFTPOS cards. The warm, fragrant smell of coffee beans next door was calling to him. Yukino's smile grew wider and he started a quick walk to the coffee shop next door, hoping they accepted Japanese yen.

like you guys." she didn't move her arm from karamatsu's
shoulders as she walked. "when we get to the house, we can
call dibs on the bedrooms.. assuming there's more than one. i
don't mind sharing. i can stay on the floor or under the bed. i
always bring a blanket with me. don't ask why." she prattled,
ears moving in animated motions. her smile never faded.

"I slept on a couch for four years before I got taken in, so someone can have the one I have if there aren't enough." Hakku said.

"I don't really need a bed," Nezha said, walking up to the door of the house and slowly pushing it open. It wasn't locked, which was strange, but lucky, Nezha couldn't see anywhere she could've hacked into it. "I'm already asleep. I'm going to scout out the interior, the rest of you make sure nothing sneaks up on me." Nocking another arrow, Nezha took aim at the interior of the house. a blue beam of light spiraled around the arrow point before she released it, her vision immediately shifting from Ivara's faceplate to the point of the arrow. Nezha then began to guide the arrow throughout the house, through the ground floor, then the upper floors, then finally down into the basement, where she found a door she couldn't penetrate, inscribed with an awfully familiar symbol. Driving the arrow into the wall and cancelling Navigator, Nezha returned to her warframe and said "The inside is clear. Nobody's in there except for me."

may." she glanced around. sparki didn't step into the
home yet, however. "you guys go in first.." sparki
said, tilting her head. "you need warmth. besides, i
really like the snow. and i saw tons of stores out there if
any of you want to go with me maybe tomorrow?" oddly,
she was planning this out like a vacation in her head.

"I can help buy groceries." Hakku offered. "Shopping would be lots of fun." She looked at Eridan. "You wanna go ahead and claim a room?"

"I think I'll pass," Nezha said, "Until I learn to walk again, going places will be a bit difficult. Ivara is the only frame I've got that can stealth itself, and I doubt that the humans here would react to kindly to my apperance."

feeling: relieved and selfish

"sh**, yeah," eridan said in response, bustling in right as the strange robo-human told them it was all clear. the royal troll took a good look around before deciding the blocks -- aka bedrooms -- would be upstairs. "this place is f****n' huge!" he called out, mainly to himself. he slithered up the stairs with an evil grin on his face. ohhh, he would get the best block in the hive! he'd decorate it as he wished and oh gosh he forgot his lusus.

oh well. the big seahorse would live without him.

he found a suitable block, one that would probably accommodate at least four people if the beds could be bought later. however, our selfish fishkid wasn't exactly the type to share -- unless, of course, he wanted to fill one of his quadrants with a particular person. he was still considering hakku -- maybe not as a matesprit, but as a moirail -- a best friend, of sorts -- since feferi thought he didn't need her anymore the glubbin' fffff --

Yukino stepped inside the coffee shop, taking a minute to look around the interior. It was small, but small-cozy, not small-cramped. It was homey and rather cozy. Although he was planning to order a plain black and leave (he wanted to explore the small, snowy town as soon as possible), Yukino found himself wanting to stay a little bit. Wouldn't hurt to do that, right? The ghoul was in no hurry and as far as he was concerned, there was no danger here.
The waiter finished making his coffee and placed the cup in front of him with a smile. Yukino returned the friendly gesture and stirred his coffee with a teaspoon, wishing for some of special sugar cubes the ghoul coffee shop make and put in their coffee. Those little cubes worked wonders for ghoulish hunger pangs. Not that he was hungry at the moment, but he wanted something sweet to put in his coffee. He took a sip and watched the snow fall outside.
