Reyna cradled her elbow. After the fight, she bumped it against the trench and it sent a jolt of pain through her. That stupid plague patrol guy thought he could fight me! she thought with a smirk. She peered over the trench and horror filled her stomach. The stupid patrol guy was talking to Star! He was surely going to give away her whereabouts. Then a thought came to her. The house. She looked at the two making sure they weren't facing her, and crept into the house. She opened the door and carefully closed it. She peered around. Dusty and gross, she decided. She went to the center and pried at the boards. One came away, and she managed to pry enough to wiggle her way underneath. She then replaced them back on, making sure they could handle the weight. I just hope they don't find me, she thought.
