"Huh?" Ty was confused. Penny squirmed out of her grasp and 'hovered beside Ty.

Merr sighed and shook his head slowly. "I scare birds because they annoy me. But I don't harm them. Others would try and purposely harm them...But if it is with you, then others may think twice before hurting it. Get it now?"

"Yep!" Ty said, smiling and tilting her head. Penny went and hovered right infront of Merr's face. She stuck her long sticky tongue out at him then went back to sitting on Ty's shoulder.

Merr stuck his tongue out at the small bird and started chuckling quietly.

Ty rubbed Penny's chest, the tiny bird fluffing her feathers with pleasure. "Penny can be like that. One time she convinced a bunch of crows to drop nuts on a group of stray cats. The things this bird does are totally insane." Ty said and winked at Penny. Penny flew up onto Ty's head as if to say, 'That's not even the half of it; I know so much more!'.

Merr smiled at the bird and sighed. "I wish I had someone to keep me company all the time..."

"Then you need to fined some one. Friends don't just appear out of no where. If you want company, you have to find it in other people. That's what I think. Like how I found Penny. I can talk to birds, so it was only natural for me to talk with her." Ty said. She smiled. Penny fluttered her wings in aggreement.

Merr shifted to his half Daemon form. He smirked at Ty. "Look at me...I can't speak to those that aren't human or my own kind."

"So? Most people think I'm insane. It doesn't matter what a person looks like, or how we act, or even the kinds of things we do. What matters is a persons personality." Ty said happily.

Merr started laughing. "They think you were insane? I have huge teeth, long ears and 3 tails. You think talking to birds is bad? I look like a saber-toothed donkey or rabbit."
