"Yes, yes! That's exactly what I meant!" His eyes lit up and a rarely seen smile decorated his expression. Caught up with excitement, he was unaware of the small wall the girl had put up. But after realizing how awkward his outburst was, his enthusiasm quickly died down. "I-I'm sorry," he choked out, "Um, I'm Kurosawa Kento." He gave a weak smile, proposing his friendly intentions. "It's just not often for me to find someone with similar interests."

the ghoul stayed quiet while yukizuki talked. she had never really thought of it like that... could she be putting her friends in danger by her actions as a clown? "things will get easier, yuki. we'll live through it. if there's anything we're good at, it's surviving." she gave smile. "besides, anyone messes with this place and i'll be sure to make sure they stay away for good. you guys make the best coffee! i can't just miss that." she said, adding some humor to the dark topic.

"I'm Ozaki Kisa, Kento-san," she replied. Socializing with others wasn't exactly one of her strengths, so Kisa wasn't entirely comfortable with the situation, but she offered him the empty seat in front of her nonetheless, the one that Ito previously had occupied, and gave him a slightly bigger, and a considerably friendlier smile. "You're quite a huge fan of Takatsuki Sen, aren't you?"

Kento hesitantly filled in the once vacant seat. "Sorry about this, Ozaki-san. I understand if you're uncomfortable. You must've thought I was a bit weird to come up to you, huh? Shoo me away anytime." He chuckled shyly, slightly embarrassed by the thought of what misinterpretations could have been made. He cleared his throat and spoke again. "And to answer your question, yes. I'm quite the avid fan of her work. As for her person... Not so much..."

"Is she a rude person?" Kisa asked, faintly amused. She brushed a strand of loose hair from her face, an unconscious gesture. "I find her work...difficult to understand at times," Kisa said. "but that's what intrigues me about it. It's dark and twisted, but also beautiful. Her words never cease to fascinate me, although I've only started reading it," she admitted, holding the book back up to her face, as if to hide from the embarrassment.

"I'd say sadistic rather than rude. Well, I better not say more about her wretched personality before you start losing interest in her work," he replied, "Though it is true that her work reflects her complicated personality. Whoever reads her works is certain to fall in love. At least that's what I believe." Kento's face softened at those words. It was true. He was in love. Her writing had seduced him and reeled him in, not willing to release him. "No matter how twisted the author is, the beauty of her creation will forever remain beautiful," he whispered as he traced the top of the opened book now pressed against Kisa's face.

Kisa felt herself heat up. Too close? She slammed the book shut, a little too forcefully than necessary. "So you have met her? Takatsuki-sensei sounds like an intriguing character," she stated, folding her arms across her chest and leaning back on her chair. "I'd like to meet her sometime and ask her a few questions regarding her works. And, um...would you like to suggest a few books of hers?"

Kento's eyes widened at Kisa's sudden reaction, but he quickly disregarded it. "Well, I'm not sure how many book-worm ghouls know this," he sucked in a sharp breath, "but Takatsuki-sensei is one of us." He imitated her action and fell back into his chair that he had been unconsciously leaning out of. Kento stopped one of the nearby waiters and requested a cup of coffee. "Burning hot, please!" He added as the waiter left to fulfill the order. He turned back to Kisa. "If I could, I would set you up with a meet-and-greet. But with the current situation, that would be impossible." A smile began waxing onto his face. "But you must - must, I tell you - read The Black Goat's Egg."

"Takatsuki Sen is another ghoul? Well that explains her 'writing voice'." Kisa looked thoughtful, turning the new information over in her mind as Kento ordered some coffee for himself. A meet-and-greet with Takatsuki Sen herself sounds nice. She'd come across many posters and advertisements for the novelist's book signings in most of the Wards she had stayed over, but Kisa had never given it much thought until now. I guess I have to wait until another similar event comes along. "The Black Goat's Egg, eh? That'll be next on my booklist."

"Thank you," Kento said to the waiter as he brought his coffee to the table. He watched as the steam swiftly rose up, feeling the heat subtly warm his face. "Yes, The Black Goat's Egg is a must read," he agreed, still slightly distracted by the entrancing and seemingly choreographed dance of the coffee's steam. "I wonder how she's doing with her meet-ups though. She's quite inconsistent, but understandably so." Kento took a sip of the hot coffee. "But really, you have to watch out for her. Either you remain a fan and stay out of her affairs or get in her business and be ready to commit seppuku. She's not all that she seems to be."
