Just as the coffee finished brewing, a thought suddenly popped in his head. He was getting his new partner today, after his previous one was promoted. He poured coffee into his mug, adding milk, sealed the lid tightly then calmly walked towards the stairs. Once he hit them, he picked up his pace to a speedwalk, and thankfully got into the room before his new associate. He took a seat, setting his quinque beside him and waited.

Being super confident in herself, she walked to where humans were more plentiful than the ghouls, straying awfully close to the 1st ward. "Now, how should I go about it?" She wondered to herself, patting the dust off her dress as she walked. "I need to do this in such a way as I won't get caught but how?" Alice patted harder at her dress;this was an unconscious movement, only happening when she was thinking too hard. "I can't get close to the main CCG building so I need to find a patrolling investigator!" With the last word, she straightened up and clapped her hands together, looking pleased with herself.

She bolted down the street, bag now in her hand as it had slipped off her shoulder earlier in the run. She was going to be really late!
If only the light hadn't changed when it did! Now there was only one chance to get to school during the first class;down a dark alley. So she cut down it, though at this time she was not safe from ghouls. She dodged around the bags and garbage littering the asphalt, growing more tired in her sprint.
Almost there's! she cried in her mind. Aaaand she tripped on a stray cup, falling over, sending her papers flying everywhere. "Oh no...." She groaned, trying to gather her scattered homework.

"Magic fingers," he grinned putting on a lopsided grin and wiggling his fingers like mother's do to children when becoming the 'tickle monster'. "But on a serious note," he said, straightening up. "It's good to hear nothing bad has happened. I'd hate to lose the shop." He rapped his knuckles on the counter, then noticed they had an unattended customer. "One moment please." He swiftly navigated the tables. "Would you like a refill, sir?"
