"Osaka, Japan," she replied. "Well, that's only where I was born. I've been to a lot of places." Should I tell him about..? "A group took me in.. they became my friends, my family. We lived in a big building for a while. But after I was on the floating island..." she trailed off. "I lost them when it crashed." The island had been burnt, and as the tip touched the floor of the canyons, the igniting flames had burst into sparks by the time most of the island was plain ashes. Noodle tried to stay strong and tried to keep away the memories. She was very tough, but the incident was her soft spot. Two small tears rolled from her cheeks, dropping beneath her mask to the ground as her fists tightened. Why does this still bother me...? That was years ago! But somehow, the pain never went away of loosing the friends she might never see again. And that pain had made its mark on her face.
Noodle's hand reached beneath her mask for a moment, trying to dry her good eye; she didn't want to risk touching the other, although it probably wouldn't get any worse. "I'm sorry," she bowed her head for a moment, but her voice remained a bit shaky.
