The blonde haired, green eyed huntress looked back at Rosa as she told her not to tell anyone. She could half understand why she didn't want her to say anything about it, but it would still be a good story. Canary gave her a quick nod and said "Alrighty then, i promise not to speak a word of it." She raised her hand and said "I swear on it!" She then gave her a smile and looked forward again, humming quietly to herself. It wasn't until Rosa said that she couldn't wait to see what Canary could do that the blonde looked back to the faunus. Canary pulled the bow off her back and said "I hope you will be surprised! It seems like a bow, but it's not just that. Now it is a bow as well, and the arrows can be fused with dust to heighten the power. But it can also disassemble in the middle and become two blades which are also two pistols. It's cooler than it sounds i guess, and i even made it. With help from my best friend of course, but i did most of it alone. The design was all mine. I never go anywhere without it."

The eagle faunus honestly felt pretty bad about not talking much to the girl, but she didn't seem to be too hurt by it. She actually seemed to be quite happy about everything and perky, which he didn't mind at all. He actually found that her being this way might be good for him, especially when he was pretty stoic most of the time. He just doesn't get too close to people often, but around Beacon he would hopefully make some friends, and it looked like Linnea would be the first friend. He rubbed the back of his neck in embarrassment as she said that she liked the mask, that it suited his outfit. He cleared his throat and said "Um...thanks." He was glad though that she changed the subject to her weapon instead of dwelling on the subject of his mask.

Mavi was truly interested in her weapon. He found that the act that everyone had a weapon unique to them and that they were all so different and amazing to be spectacular. And her's fit the category of awesome. A bo staff that turned into an archery bow, how cool was that? He gave a soft smile but before he was able to say anything a roar came from the forest giving Mavi the signal to pull out his own weapon. He watched as Linnea sunk an arrow into one of the Ursa's shoulders, finding her aim to be pretty good. He kept his weapon in it's sword form for now, but if it was needed her would use the rifle form. Mavi jumped up into the trees and hopped from branch to branch until he got above one of the ursas. When he was perfectly aligned with the grimm he jumped down on it's head and struck the ursa in it's neck. He then swung himself around the monster and landed on the ground, watching as the grimm's head fell to the ground. It then vanished into dust, leaving Mavi to turn to the other ursas. "They are just such a bother."

Noir accepted Orchid's hand with yet another small smile that quickly disappeared. His feelings of nervousness at having to team up with strangers seemed to have mostly disappeared. Orchid was friendly enough and the fact that she already seemed comfortable with him eased him into the partnership more. "I guess we are. Nice to meet you, Orchid." He nodded, following after her. Maybe with someone to work together with, it'd be easy to find the relic and get out of the forest. "Ah. Um, by the way... if you're cut or anything, I have bandaids..." He added quietly, pulling a bandaid out of his coat pocket and holding it out. It was a rather cutesy looking one, with little kittens on it. Usually he'd carry more first aid supplies on him, but bringing a satchel on this mission most likely would have only slowed him down and gotten in the way; he wasn't going to bring more liabilities than necessary. The kitten bandaids were also just too cute to pass up bringing, in his opinion.

Maple tilted his head in curiosity, about to ask just why she was toting around a stuffed animal. It was a bit childish, wasn't it? Not that he was one to judge, but his question was cut off from even being started when the girl pointed to the Grimm just ahead of them. "Oh," he started with a grin, readying his gauntlets. "Action already, huh? How entertaining!"

As the Ursa roared, Maple leapt to the side and watched Ivorine land behind the Grimm. "Yahoo!" With an excited yowl, the boy ran forward, bracing the brass knuckles of his gauntlets. He'd use Ivorine's first strike as a chance for the Ursa to be distracted and run forward to attack it's belly. He wasn't too worried about getting hit or damaged himself, because if worse comes to worst he could just use his semblance to carry on after the fight.

Out of the corner of Linnea's eye, she saw Mavi move to the trees. She was careful where she aimed her next arrow as she did not want to hit him. Knocking the arrow back, she shot the arrow into the ursa she had shot previously. The arrow embedded itself into its head, and the ursa went down. She looked over to Mavi to see him take down the ursa. The pink-haired aspiring huntress was impressed with his ability. She was glad that she had received a partner that was not a slacker. "Aren't they?" She mused when she heard Mavi's comment. Since they had two more ursa to take down, she left one to Mavi and took on the other. Her archery bow changed back to her bo staff, and she approached the bear-like grimm. She bent her knees, the tip of the bo staff directed at the ursa. When the ursa charged at her, her semblance activated. Her pink hair glowed as ribbons appeared and wrapped around the grimm. While the ursa was immobile and slowly being squeezed by the ribbons, she launched forward and ended it with a single blow.

Now that it was confirmed that the yo-yo was the weapon, he was even more curious about his partners abilities. He wanted to reach some grimm and see what the yo-yo could do. The silver-haired male hummed in thought when Rouge asked what direction they should take. "I dunno, Cerise, how about we just continue on the path we are heading? I don't think we should take a different path. I feel like we are going the right way!" He responded, starting to pick up the pace. He started to slow down when he heard the howls of Beowulves. He felt a shudder run down his spine, trying not to show his fear. Out of all the grimm, it had to be the kind that took his eye when he was a kid. Shaking his head, he stood in a fighting stance as a few beowulves came out of the bushes. "Looks like we're fighting!" He spoke, wearing an uneasy grin as he watched the beowulves growl and circle them.

Rosa seemed relieved when Canary agreed not to tell anyone. She hoped that she would keep the promise, and their future team would not know about the incident. Walking alongside Canary, she listened to her explain her weapon. She listened intently, eager to know more about the weapon. She had clearly put in a lot of thought into it, and she hoped that her weapon would be thought of as cool as well. Without her semblance, her weapon would be kinda useless. At least, it would be in its butterfly knife form. Thanks to her enhanced speed and jumping, she is able to use her butterfly knife form effectively. "That's so cool! You seem to have put a lot of thought into it." She responded, giving a smile and nodding her head. Even if her friend helped her, it was still an original idea from Canary. She was pleased that her partner was proud of her own weapon.

Orchid stopped and looked at the band aid he was holding out. She grinned and accepted it, grateful. "Well, wouldn't want these to get infected, right?" She chuckled. She put it on the biggest one, which wasn't very big but oh well. "Thank you, Noir." She began walking again. "Say, since your name means black in French," she paused, "does that mean you know French?" She asked, looking back at him, actually curious. "Or was it just a name? Or, uh, you don't have to answer if you don't want to.." She looked away. She didn't want to make the poor boy uncomfortable and start interrogating him! Maybe she was being too hard on herself, but she didn't want to make him uncomfortable in any way.

Miku notices the boy jump a little as she approached him. The boy seemed a little shaked, which is understandable seeing to others, it'd look like she just appeared out of nowhere. As Nye grasp her hand and introduced himself, she smiles slightly hoping it will ease the boy a little. After the two finishes shaking each other's hand, she puts her hand back on her sniper rifle. "It's nice to meet you, Nye. I look forward to working with you." she says politely. She obverses the boy, but it was hard to tell his fighting skills without seeing him in battle.

Walking to her left, she says firmly, "Let's go this way. I been looking that direction for a while now. Didn't see anything worthwhile." Turning to Nye, she continues, "Maybe there is something this way." Realizing, she hadn't let the boy speak, she quickly says, "That is, if you don't mind." She bit her lips slightly as she waits for the boy to answer.

Seeing the boy charging towards the Ursa's stomach, Ivorine focuses her attack on the Ursa's back. She slashes quickly, twirling around like a whirlpool, landing multiple blows on the Grimm. As she does this, she maintains her regular never changing sweet smile on her face. As Ursa grew weakier to the two's attacks, Ivorine leaps up and lands on the creature's back. Her daggers transforms sub-machineguns. Putting the guns on the Ursa's back, she puts several rounds into the creature. Luckily for the two the Ursa wasn't too strong and is quickly defeated.

As the Ursa evaporates as it dies, Ivorine leaps up and grabs her umbrella. Opening it as she begins to fall, gliding down in front of Maple. It wasn't until now, she notice how tall the boy was. She raises her head with a smile and says, "My! Look at how tall you are. If you didn't call out to me, I might have mistaken you for a Grimm." Holding her bunny doll in one hand and her umbrella in the other, she does a curtsey. "I'm Ivorine Irving. You may call me Ivory, if you like to. And who might you be?" she asks as she continues to look at the ground.

"well, it functions as a regular yo-yo too," rouge chuckled, holding up the object. "i can do a few tricks, as well." as if to demonstrate, the auburn-haired hunter did a few loops with the yo-yo, spinning around the object aimlessly. but alas, his carefree attitude soon evaporated at the distinct sound of howls. red eyes darting to the left, he was surprised to see that nuada had frozen up, if not temporarily. at the boy's call of "looks like we're fighting!" rouge grinned. he had confidence in his ability to fight, and from what his silver-haired partner had said earlier, he seemed to be quite the warrior himself. switching himself over to what he referred to as battle mode, rouge's eyes darted about the grimm, looking for the weakest points in their ranks. seemingly finding one, he lashed out with his yo-yo, the middle bulb growing a bright red, signifying that it was tuned into fire dust. he hit the beast dead on, the beast growling as it was smacked with a hyper-charged yo-yo.

suddenly, an unfamiliar scent filled his nose. casey spun on his heels, blue eyes wide. he didn't think that the sound was a threat, however, for their scent was pleasant. plus what grimm warns you before you're attacked? as a girl emerged from the bushes, a faunus, if her scent gave away anything, the male relaxed. "oh hi!" he chirruped, beaming brightly at the girl. if he had a tail, he would likely be wagging it now. but alas, his lupine traits were limited to long claws and fangs. "i'm casey!" the wolf faunus exclaimed brightly, before sticking out his hand. his glittering baby blues peered at the girl, as if attempting to scrutinize her soul. "what's your name?"

Ge asked rehooking the plain battle axe to his back again. As he stepped into the clearing.

The blonde green eyed huntress told of her weapon with great pride. Sunflower, her weapon, was Canary's prize possession and she hated to be without it. Especially since her best friend helped her make it. Sadly Canary was able to go to Beacon, but her friend was not. So Canary asked her friend to help her make her weapon so Canary could still have a part of her friend with her at Beacon. The blonde looked back to the gazelle faunus as she said that her weapon was cool. "Oh thanks! I'm sure your weapon is cool, too. I mean, no one can get into beacon unless they are top notch, right?" She smiled brightly before turning his attention back in front of herself. She was very happy that she had gotten a good partner, and one that was kind too. She wouldn't know what to do if she got someone who was completely horrible and mean to her. Canary rubbed her forehead once or twice and said "I think if we keep heading in this direction then we might end up where we are supposed to go? Wherever that actually is."

The eagle faunus kept in his spot as soon as he saw Linnea change her bow back to the staff form. He was curious as to how she would be dealing with her own Ursa, though he had his own to worry about. He jumped up in the trees once more, which he used as his cover. Mavi wasn't one to jump into a battle without having a plan, and he tended to use the surroundings to jump around and hide until he attacked. From the tree tops he watched as the Ursa that was left to him looked around confused as heck, but his eyes moved to Linnea as she destoryed her Ursa using her...semblance? Wow, that's a pretty cool semblance, he thought to himself before he made his move. Mavi jumped out of the tree and landed behind the Ursa's body and swung his sword with a great force, slicing the monster in two. The grimm disappeared into nothingness, leaving Mavi to sheathe his sword once more. He wiped his hands off and looked over to Linnea, saying "You've got some moves....you're pretty good." He gave her a soft smile, the best he could, before he turned back the way they were headed and said "We should, uh, get moving again." He once again began walking towards what he thought to be the center of the forest.

Berywn was launched into the air as he was brought out of his day dream of him being a world famous hunter. He felt the air around him begin to thicken as he plummeted into a set of trees and then further into the ground. Berwyn got up and shook off the pain in his shoulder that began to travel up to him right arm. As he turned to see the mess that he made with the trees branches in his nice red trench coat and several holes poking thru,Berywn felt a rush of adrenaline as a swipe of a beowulf claw came in his direction. He jumped out of the way as he grabbed the skull hilt on his back and removed it from the rest of his sword. He arrived on the ground as he saw the grimm run to him in a rage induced attack."You are going to have to try to do better then that buddy." Berwyn said to the creature as he pulled the trigger and noticed that he didn't load them. As the grimm came closer to him he jumped up several feet in the air and grabbed two clips of dust ammo. As he came back down to the forest ground he loaded both chambers of the gun and fired at the grimm. When the guns ran dry, Berwyn looked down at the scorched earth where he unloaded on the grimm. He turned to here the sound of distance fighting as he streached out his muscles and ran to the sound of grimm. When he got there, Berwyn leaned against a tree when he saw a girl wielding two swords.

Akane quickly pulled out her two swords and dashed towards the Ursa. She dodged to the left as it ran forward and quickly turned as it had tried to skid to a stop. Akane then jumped up and landed on the back of the Ursa, both of her swords in the back of it. She then quickly switched the swords to their gun mode and began to shoot at the back of the Ursa before jumping up and landing on the ground as the Ursa began to try to get her off of it's back. Akane continued to shoot at the Ursa until soon enough it was gone. She sighed softly to herself before her weapon went back to its sword form and she placed them in their sheaths. She then looked towards where she had heard some rustling and saw a boy standing beside a tree.
