Thea lazily twirled her pendant, looking out on Camp Half-Blood through half-closed eyes. She was on the edge of sleep. Nobody was fighting, training, or making any noise at all. She stifled a yawn, and thought about picking up her book again, which she liked a lot. It had all the characteristics of a good yarn; romance, adventure, near-fatal escape, true love, good versus evil... she sighed happily. This was a perfect day.
Shouting roused her from a sun-induced daze. Thea scanned around her for people who would interrupt such a glorious afternoon. Her eyes fixed on a girl, about her own age, that seemed to be fighting off... sun-beams? Oh, how could I forget? Thea rolled her eyes and climbed to her feet, remembering that Apollo had spoken to all of his children last night.
Tomorrow, he had said, other demi-gods are coming to the camp. Egyptian demi-gods. I wish for you to welcome them. Here he gave a strained smile. But, and this is between a father and his children, don't sing songs that they would know at campfire. They should squirm for what they did that time... And he had left, leaving traces of light floating around the cabin.
Thea marched over to where the girl was standing, obviously steamed, and waited to be noticed. She studied her "friend"; she had tanned, dark skin, which bore some dust marks. The girl's hair was in a ponytail, and it was very long. Thea was impressed--not that she'd ever admit it, but still. Thea had been growing her hair for four years, and it still wasn't the length that she wanted it. She raised an eyebrow, looking at the girl's weapon. Deadly sharp, it glistened in the sunlight with the shine of much use. Thea looked around and saw two more teens walking towards her. Oh great, let's bring the whole platoon!

Isaiah 40:31
But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
