Fern grunted with pain, loosening her grip. She slashed out at Rough, trying to cut his neck, but knew, the blade would only catch his shoulder, or arm. Blood dripped slowly from her new wound on her shoulder, even though it wasn't that deep, it still hurt.

"Oh really, now?" Fern asked, a slight smirk appearing on her face. She bent her knees slightly, getting on the balls of her feet, ready to move.

Taro watched from the side. He'd jump in if Fern needed it. From what he could tell, she had it covered. He watched Rough Neck intently, already wanting to tear him limb from limb.
