Name: Archer
Age: 15
Gender: Male
Crush/Boyfriend/Girlfriend: Open/Looking
Appearance (as a human): 6'2", muscular build, short reddish brown hair, green eyes
Carnivore or Herbivore?: carnivore
Natural Base Color When Shifted: red/reddish brown (the natural shade of red found in nature)
Personality: Archer is a very intense and aggressive young man. He used to be somewhat average, if not on the more gentle side, but in the past few years he has steadily become more violent. He started acting out in class, breaking things at home, and getting into physical altercations with his peers. His father has attributed this mostly to hormones, taking little interest, but school officials and behavioral therapists are increasingly worried. His aggressive side may be the only side most people see. However, Archer has a very protective nature, which leads to most of his aggression. He would do anything to protect those he cares for, including becoming violent, risking extreme punishment, and even giving up his own life.
History: Archer's mother was bitten by the monkey when she was about 6 months pregnant with Archer. Fearing the doctors would want to do tests that would jeopardize the health of her baby, she never told anyone, not even Archer's father. She never let on that she was becoming weaker, but she was. When the due date for Archer's birth came and went the doctors determined that she would need a C-section. Perhaps her own mutated DNA made her unable to deliver naturally. Early on in the procedure she passed away, too weak to survive such an intense ordeal. Archer survived and was proclaimed to be a perfectly healthy baby. However, his father attributed his mother's death to Archer's birth and has blamed the boy for the loss ever since. Mostly he avoids, ignores, or neglects Archer, taking little interest in his son's life. Occasionally, such as when he is drunk, he is verbally and physically abusive to the boy.
Other: Archer played football for the school team freshman year but the coaches and parents found him far too aggressive and violent to be on a JV team. He received multiple flags and warnings during the games, but his aggression on the field continued. After he hit a player so hard that the the young man's neck bent back, resulting in permanent paralysis, the coaches and parents held a meeting and banned him from football for a year. They said he could come back during his junior year, to Varsity Football if he made the team, where his aggression might be more on par with the other players. However, his fellow football players basically shunned him after the incident and since then Archer has become mostly a loner. It seems people are too afraid of him to hang out with him.
Name: Carter
Age: 15
Gender: Male
Crush/Boyfriend/Girlfriend: Open/Looking
Appearance (as a human): 5'10", average build (not slender but not muscular), short light brown hair, bright blue eyes
Carnivore or Herbivore?: herbivore
Natural Base Color When Shifted: gray (with a silvery tint)
Personality: Carter is shy and meek by nature. He is very kindhearted and compassionate, but not at all social or outgoing. Most of his compassion tends towards animals for this reason, and he feels strongly about caring for and protecting all living creatures. For this reason he is a vegetarian and an active volunteer at animal shelters. Most of his peers see Carter as a weird animal-freak who seldom ever speaks, but Carter does have a small group of friends with whom he can open up and be his caring self.
History: Carter's father was one of the first bitten by the monkey. His father played the bite off as nothing at first and he and his wife went along their typical daily routine, leading to the conception and eventual birth of Carter. However, Carter's father began to feel serious negative symptoms doctors attributed to the bite and he lived only a few weeks past his son's birth. Seeing Carter as the last living memory of her late husband, Carter's mother put everything she had into raising the boy. With help from friends and relatives she managed rather well for a single, working parent, and is still a constant source of support in Carter's life.
Other: Carter is not involved with any sports or school clubs but he is an active volunteer in his community.
