Name // ruth lilianna cou.
Gender // female.
Age // eighteen years of age.
Species // snow leopard faunus. she has a white leopard's tail and sharpejed canines, plus enhanced senses to show her faunus heritage.

Team // fury.
Weapon // ruth's weapon has two stages, all which contribute some sort of blade. [ both ] the first stage is two swords; one a slim three foot long short sword, and the other a larger five foot long sword. the blades each have a line of purple ice dust welded into it, and ruth uses the swords together, one in each hand. [ one ] the second forum of ruth's weapon is a hand gun, but it can mechanically alter itself to its sword stages. the gun itself shoots purple ice dust bullets made specifically by ruth. the barrel of the gun is about a foot in length, with the extention of a blade at the end that she uses like a throwing knife. to create this gun out of two swords, she attaches the hilts of both swords together, and lets mechanics do the rest. for storage purposes, ruth keeps the weapon in a sheath that she wears on her back, she prefers to keep her weapon in its swords stages, so she has them crossed over her back for easy access. she calls it esther.
Semiblance // ruth's semblance is the increase of her speed and agility, with the down side of a temperature drop. because of her snow faunus appearance, ruth's semblance has a side effect of dropping the temperature. not to a deadly temp. but a noticable difference of temps. when sctivated, her eyes turn to an icier blue color, but if you are not paying attention, you wouldn't even notice it. her speed and agility increase to an alarming level, but she doesn't flaunt it in a battle. ruth subtly allows herself to access more and more of her increased agility to make it seem like it all comes from the leopard faunusness.

Personality // ruth is a rambunctious young girl, always sticking her nose in places it doesn't belong. she is stubborn, hot headed, short tempered, and very daring. the girl, though unruly, is very loyal. she will always be there when you need her, and she does her best to please. ruth is very childish and energetic, seeming to be always moving unless shes sleeping. she loves to be around her team, whether it be in a mock battle with one of her teammates or at lunch cracking a joke. though ruth's outspoken qualities, she doesn't handle group projects or public speaking all to well. she can't handle the large crowds either. she isn't shy, just stage fright. she gets easily frustrated with herself when she can't solve something, and will become extremely sarcastic if upset, frustrsted, or angered.
History // ruth had a fairly unique childhood, i guess you could say. mother was a huntress, father was a rich business man. ruth, being the only girl out of four siblings, was quite spoiled as a young girl. by her father at least. ruth's mother was always hard on her, telling her she needed to work harder and not rely on her father's money. ruth hated her mom for how hard she pushed her, but ruth's fourteenth birthday her mother died. she went out on a mission and never came home. ruth was devastated that her mother was gone, but her father was worse after the news of his wife's death. he resorted to drinking all of his feelings with booze and other liquor products for two years. he became distant and cruel, hardly ever coming out of his room until one day he disappeared. ruth's eldest brother took over the company their father had worked so hard on, and three other two went their separate ways, not making contact since their father's disappearance. ruth, after her mother's death, decided to carry on the family name throughout huntsmen and huntresses, so she devoted herself to becoming a better huntress than her mother was.
Other // ruth normally either wears her school uniform or these, but with some in her lilac color. her outfit would be a mix of the torso of the second outfit and the shorts, stockings, and boots of the first. the sleeveless hoodie she wears is a black color, almost like a dark gray, the shirts underneath black and white. her shorts would be normal light or dark denim ripped shorts, and the stockings would be in the lilac color she wears so proudly. her boots woud be black combat boots, most likely loosely laced. her hair would likely be in twin braids, but sometimes she will leave it down with no accessories in it.
- is left handed, but uses both hands when fighting with her swords.

-Meaning: Her name derives from the Greek goddess Nyx who is the ruler of the night and the Greek titian/god named Astraeus who is the deity of the stars, planets, and space.

-Views: She hates humans and faunus equally. She really doesn't care about your race or extra body parts and finds the anti-faunus movement ignorant and redundant.

-Position: Leader

Weapon: Orion's Divide- Despite using her semblance more than weapons, she does carry a dust sword with her. When not activated, it is simply a hilt with a very thin rod made of metal. A beam of energy, however, forms around the rod when the dust is activated. Due to the dust inside of it being highly concentrated in the hilt and rod, the beam is highly caustic and able to cut through most objects (Except through aura with one hit like how Adam's can.) the rod can retract into the hilt for easy travel in the holster Nyx had custom made. She used to carry two of these dust-powered blades, but that was when she was younger and she wasn't as skilled with her semblance as she is now. She will get rid of this weapon soon. Her weapon can not fire rounds nor can it shift into anything else. Different dust types can be used in it.

Colour: Space-like colours (Mainly blue and black)

Personality: She's just as cold, empty, and segregated as space itself. She's not one to speak unless it is to answer questions, give orders, or a harsh comeback. Through the midst of her gelid persona lies a wise and witty soul capiable of leading her and anyone who tags along to great opportunity. Though her family is quite wealthy, Nyx is very resorceful and picky with the things she waste money on. She tends to skip meals, buy the cheapest options, and take advantage of sales and coupons. She also is cautious with the money of other people. If offered a quick bite to eat by someone who she actually has a bond with, Nyx would denie the chance and say not to waste money on unnecessary things. This resourcefulness spreads to other things as well: paper, time, dust, and attacks. She hates wasting time and will get things done as fast as she humanly can. Her semblance aids her with this to a great extent as she can multitask with her powers quite easily. It's not a rare sight to see her scroll and other digital pads floating in midair with notes being typed into them while she is reading several books at once.

When it comes to conflict and fear, Nyx isn't an easy target to scare or intimidate. If anything, she can usual scare off others with a single glare ((Grimm excluded.)) Her aura is very cold and desolated and it is hard to not feel it seeping on to your skin when Nyx is close. Her apathy towards a majority of things gives her the ability to get over things without issue. She also isn't one to brag about herself. If anything she'll annoy you with how she can easy point out flaws in both herself and the world around her. She's aggressive, but not conceited or the one to hold a grudge.

Academic wise, she's superior. Her intelligence is hard to match, but because of that she is secluded and often lonely. Do you ever have that anger that boils underneath your skin when someone cannot comprehend something you find to be super easy? She experiences that all the time. Nyx will even walk out of class because of this feeling and march right into the library. While her grades are high, her attendance is low. When in a group project, she's the one to do all the work.

A quick note is that she doesn't care about race. You can be a faunus or a human and she'll still hate you.

History: Nyx originates from her family's main research facility in Vanco. Due to her family being the world leaders of space research and exploration, they're practically devoted to their work to where they even live in their facility. Thankfully it's ginormous and can even be used as a safe haven in times of danger. Through the years little has happened: her parents got a divorce, she occasionally went to a space station orbiting Remnant, and she spent a majority of her time studying and training. Though she will eventually become the organization's leader once her mother either retires or passes on, it will still be quite some time until then. Because of this long wait, Nyx has planned to fill in that time by being a huntress while still studying about space. While this may be a bit hard for others to do, Nyx's intelligence and personality helps clear her way down this path.

Yes, this history is bare. Maybe there's a few secrets missing.....

Other:Her family's organization, AKA International Space Research Agency (The ISRA), is located in Vanco due to it's clear, dry weather patterns. Despite Atlas being dominate in technology, the climate there isn't optimal for space research (Clouds blocking telescopes, cold weather (It's in the north) prevents satellite and rocket launches, etc.). There are a few research centers scattered along Remnant. One thing that bugs Nyx is how cloudy the sky is at night in Vale. Although it may not be cloudy to others, it's not as clear as how the skies in Vanco are. Nyx has several tattoos on her body.

Alluison: She an allusion to space, the goddess Nyx, the titan/god Astraeus, and Star Wars. (What? If a canon character (Neon Katt) can be based off of Nyan Cat I don't see why Nyx cannot be based off of SW...)
