Personality: Hostile, energetic, hyper-active, rebellious. Hyland is extremly energetic, and even more stubborn. Once he makes his mind up about something he's going to do it. Often drags his friends into it. He loves to crack jokes, and lives for the thrill. He is always the first to try the scariest, biggest thing. The scariest ride, the scariest movie, the hardest trick. He spends most of his spare time skateboarding, walking around at midnight, sleeping in, drinking slushies, 7-up or monsters, and playing the guitar. He is a very defiant atheist, wondering why people belive in a 'man who lives in the clouds'.
History: Hyland grew up in Calgary, Alberta with his mother and father. They divorced when he was five. When Hyland was seven his mother died in a hit and run. Hyland's father, who has not gotten over the divorce, spiraled into a depression. Becoming involved in drugs. At the age of fourteen, Hyland's father died of a massive heroin overdose, leaving Hyland to his own devices. Hyland left Calgary with his aunt Allison, and somehow landed up in Hollywood. Allison died two years later when Hyland was sixteen due to cancer, he now lives on his own in Hollywood.
