Adonis began to laugh at Jody's comment. "I guess you must have had a lot of fun being the seeker in a game of hide and seek back home," he replied.
Aster glared at them. "Alright, enough with the chitchat lovey-dovey flirtsy stuff. We've got to find Jules. I've given him a one-minute grace period, and that's more than enough!"
Atalante smiled at Jillian's comment. "Yeah," she said. "I'd feel bad for that tree."
Soon, they reached the back door of the house. Adria opened it for the children, allowing them to go in before she shut it behind her. However, the kitchen was completely abandoned. "You've got to be kidding me," Adria grumbled beneath her breath. "January Tybalt, come here right this instant!"
"We've been busted! Run!" Addison cried, grabbing as many cookies as she could hold before charging out the front door of the Tybalt home. She glanced back over her shoulder to see if January was following her.

Jody nodded with a laugh. "It was sooo hard finding him. His best hiding spot was that one time he and JAck pretended to be our pets hiding in a closet. We have a fish and a dog. I kicked the door and Jack barked like the dog. When I kicked it again Jules said "blub blub"!" She laughed then nodded at Aster. "Let's go. Lead the way!"
Jill nodded with a smile. Then whe Adria opened the door she walked in and hid behind Atalante when Adria called Januarys name. Jana walked up to them angrily. Her hair was dripping wet from melting snow. "The kids ate all the cookies." She said grumpily. Jasper was running out the front door waving his arms like a maniac and yelling "MURDER! BLOODY MURDER!"

Aster grinned. "If I find him, I'm continuing the cookie experiment. Or... I might even do something worse. I'll think of something," she told Jody, rubbing her hands together in a scheming manner.
"Why not just be nice to him?" Adonis asked exasperatedly. "It's no relationship if you're constantly torturing him."
"Oh, be quiet," Aster snapped in reply. "Let's go!"
Adonis ran after Aster out the door. "We shouldn't be running in the hallways!" He called after her.
Aster looked back over her shoulder before obnoxiously shouting back at him, "Speak for yourself, you son of a lumberjack!"
Atalante glimpsed back at Jill and smiled at her before glancing at January. "You aren't really going to kill us, are you?" She asked the girl, looking a bit apprehensive. "If you are going to kill anyone, it won't be Jill. You'll have to get through me first!"
Adria silenced Atalante before replying, "I'll deal with them. Where did they go?"
Addison turned around at the sound of Jasper screaming and began to jog toward him. "People are going to think there's actually been a murder!" She told him, at first seeming worried. She began laughing after a moment, however. "You know, that's a great idea for a prank. Let's get Harcourt Beaumanoir to help set it up with us!"

"Oh no." Groaned Jody. "Basically Rowan Adamson will have his hands full again." She said. She could hardly keep up with the Caraways they were so fast.
Jill blushed. Now their roles had switched and Atalante was protecting her. Secretly she enjoyed both. January just laughed kind of insanely. "I have no idea. They just left. I'm going to get some sleep before I do something I'm going to regret!" She then ran upstairs as fast as she could.
Jasper looked really pale but then he smiled. "Ok. Remember though a prank's only good if we don't get caught! Promise me we won't get in trouble because then January will make hell look fun for us."

Adonis slowed down to run side by side with Jody. "I'm not gonna run after her," he sighed. "She's like some sort of bloodhound, sniffing out her prey. I can't keep up for long; her stamina matches Amaris's. Know what I mean?"
Aster was checking every locker and classroom in sight. "Come out, come out wherever you are, Jules!" She teased. "I'll make the punishment less severe if you show yourself early on."
Adria watched January go upstairs before turning to the two children hiding behind her. "I think it's best that we don't keep the Tybalts waiting. I'll send out Ambrose and Asher to look for Addison and Jasper; they couldn't have gone far. They wouldn't leave town after dark," she said to them. "Atalante, say your goodbyes to Jillian. I'm sure you'll be seeing them tomorrow."
Atalante grinned with excitement. "I can't wait!" She replied before embracing her friend. "I'll see ya tomorrow, Jill. Hopefully we won't get chased by an angry January again!"
Addison nodded. "I promise we won't. It'll be totally awesome, I promise!" She grabbed Jasper's hand, leading him down the paved roads into the upper class neighborhood. The Beaumanoir mansion was nestled at the end of the long cobblestone street, looming over all the other high end manors.
"Do you ever get creeped out when going here?" She asked him. "I do. I feel like a bunch of Peacekeepers are going to show up any moment since I don't live here."

Jody nodded. She could hardly even breathe. She leaned on Adonis' arm for a while before catching her breath. "She has the stamina of a wolf and she is hunting down a poor little fawn who is my brother." She said. "I don't even want to know what she is actually going to do to my idiot brother!"
Jill hugged Atalante back with a smile. "I'm excited too!" She said. "don't worry January has an anger management class tomorrow so we're free!"
Jasper walked with Addison. Most Tybalts weren't scared of the Beaumanoirs but Jasper was. "Yeah." He said. "Or worse. I feel like I'm going to a murderers basement or something!"

"I don't want to find out," Adonis admitted. "I'm so tired of her acting like this. I can't keep her under control; perhaps we need an Adamson to scare her out of her wits." He then grinned smugly at his idea.
Aster soon was outside. She'd burst out the front doors of the school, screaming Jules's name. "Come on, you papermaker!" She shouted. "You can run, but you can't hide!"
Atalante began to laugh. "That's good news," she said, looking over at Adria as she stepped outside, beckoning her along. She waved at Jillian a final time before heading outside, following the victor back home.
Once they were inside their own house, Adria immediately headed toward her bedroom.
"Welcome back," Atticus said to the both of them. "Where're ya goin', Adria?"
"Good night," Adria replied calmly to the both of them before continuing up the stairs. Atalante glanced at Atticus quizzically before following her twin brother to watch the recap of Adria's Games along with her other siblings and cousins.
Addison laughed. "The Beaumanoirs are unusual, but they're not murderers," she responded. "Right?" All her life, those executions had been completely normal to her. Though she was not required to attend, the last hanging, which had occurred earlier in the year, had her parents whispering about the man who had been accused of treason to District Seven's individual government. Something about him being innocent... and that he had information that the Beaumanoirs didn't want others to know? Addison simply shook her head. She didn't really know what it meant.
She reached the extravagant porch of the Beaumanoir mansion, peering through the stained glass mahogany double front doors. "Do we knock?" She asked, gesturing up to the copper latch that was far out of her reach.

"We should go back to the nurses office and get Rowan Adamson." Said Jody who was grinning in a much more evil way than usual.
Jasper nodded. "I don't really think they're murderers. This place just creeps me out. Something about the color scheme I guess because I do respect the Beaumanoirs." He nodded and stood on his tip toes to knock with the latch.

Adonis stopped himself before he could begin scheming in the same way his sister did. It was only occasional that he'd act in such a way; he'd usually correct his own behavior before it was too late. "Maybe we shouldn't," he suggested, giving Jody the most convincing smile he could muster.
Addison simply nodded, standing back beside Jasper and waiting. The door opened slowly and she almost grabbed her friend's hand out of fear, but stopped herself quickly. Jasper didn't look very scared, so she couldn't be either. That wouldn't be right.
A tall, pale man with black hair and metallic gray eyes stared down at them emotionlessly. He then glanced back over his shoulder before calling, "Harcourt!" Seconds later, a small boy who closely resembled the man had mumbled something. His man, who was his father, moved aside to let him through before slamming the door shut.
Harcourt waved at Addison before glancing up at Jasper. "Older?" He asked calmly.
"Yeah," Addison nodded. "Jasper, I don't think you've met Harcourt. He doesn't go to our school; he goes to the higher end one in the middle of town instead of ours."
"Yours is the one near the forest?" Harcourt inquired.
"Yep," was the reply. "Anyways, we were gonna do a prank. A fake murder! What do you think?"
Harcourt's face blanched even further. "Are you sure?"
"Oh, come on," Addison pled. "Don't be a papermaker!"
"Thenardier will kill me," Harcourt answered, folding his arms and staring down at his feet. "We won't get caught, right?"
Addison nodded. "Jasper'll make sure'a it. He's a good kid, too, so no one'll suspect anything. Right, Jasper?"

Jody grinned but she shrugged. "Ok fine. I guess thats a little too far...I know. What if we make insect cookies? No that is too disgusting. Do you have any ideas for pranks that wont get us suspended?"
Jasper waved with a smile. "Its nice to meet you Harcourt. I'm Jasper Tybalt." He then listened as Addison and Harcourt talked. He smiled nervously. "Yeah. The entire point of a prank is not getting caught! So where do we start?"
