She weakly raised her head and looked at him. Blood leaked down from the two cuts on her cheek that formed an X. Her whole body shook in fear as she cautiously began to back away. Something was off about her and she seemed different."P-Please.. don't h-hurt m-me.. " she said before falling off the bed and leaving a trail of blood as she backed into the shadows.

"Have you no heart nor the brain to know that he is not property even if under contract? He is a man that loves another woman." He said harshly trying to stand up for once. "I took this job because I saw a child in need of protection and the parents that couldn't handle a spoiled rotten brat!" He said drawing his sword ready for anyone who she throws at him. "Treat him and me and my brother with respect and dignity. Your parents would have been nice to us and him, though they aren't her so you show your true colors." He said angrily.

" if you truly don't trust me anymore, im fine with that..." hitsuji said in defeat. " just let me see your face one last time."

After he spoke he heard the sound of heels clicking again and she quickly stood up. She walked over to Hitsuji and covered him with a clean blanket before her mother walked in and turned on the light. "I hear your pitiful crying all the way in my room you brat." her mother said before walking up to her and slapping her on her fresh cuts on her face. She winced but stood still before her mother kicked her and made her fall on the floor and began to kick her back and then stomach with force. After about five minutes her mother decided to leave due to the puddle of blood that was from her cuts. She laid bleeding on the floor while shaking. The back of her shirt was stained in fresh blood.

as he heard a bell ring, tatsumi bowed and said, " i'll leave right away," he said, and left the room quietly. hitsuji peeked from the blanket and hugged aki tightly, despite her bleeding.
