Ceme led them down towards the kitchen. He picked up his food. "Should we get some for Seph too?" He asked, though discussing the human boy made him feel like crying.

"Well if he hasn't already had his, we should get some for him." Riya frowned at Ceme, he seemed slightly upset about something "You ok?"

Ceme nodded. He started walking away. As long as she didn't see his face, he'd probably be okay. If she did, she'd probably see how sad he looked.

Riya bit her lip and followed Ceme. She wasn't sure, but had he just looked really upset? "Ceme are you sure you're ok?"

"I'm fine." Ceme said, his voice a little shaky.

Riya walked round and looked up at Ceme "You don't look it...or sound it. Can you tell me?"

Ceme sighed softly. "It's just that...I really like you, Riya. And don't argue. I like you. I might even love you. But there's absolutely no chance you could ever feel the same about me."

"Why's there no chance?" Riya cocked her head to one side, confused.

"Because I'm an Alien. My skin is blue. My hair is orange. I'm seven foot two," Ceme almost added the bit he told himself, about him eating human once. But he didn't want to scare her, so he didn't say that part.
